I just made this thread to prevent WAR from making one called "Game of Thrones ESP 7".
As always, don't read this thread unless you've watched the episode or don't care about spoilage.
If you have read the books, do NOT post any hints, spoilers, confirmations of people's speculation, etc about the epic awesomeness that may (or may not, cwidt) be unfolding in the future. -
Finally, you people are willing to talk about something that's been available for a week.
Pretty ridiculous episode.
I feel like I'm in the minority having not read the books yet, but it's getting harder and harder not to cheat, especially since I have a bet with my GF regarding who will be alive and/or dead by the end of season 1.
"I'm not going to fight them. I'm going to fuck them." Just gold... -
Great episode. I really wanted Ned to throw Cersei in the dungeon.

awesome episode
shits gettin real -
i have read the books.... what would happen if i did give a spoiler??
any takers? -
its awfully tempting.
-
knowledge is such power....muhahahaha
-
What? Why would it be tempting to spoil people? Are you like a bad person inside?
WTF. You read some books. It doesn't make you special. Get over it.
Imma give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are just teasing here because I've never had reason to believe you are insane before. -
underdog... take a chill pill, no one is insulting obama here...
i would never give up a storyline that is probably going to make one of the best tv series ever. promise. -
currently listening to the 2nd book as I drive to vegas, I'm not sure if its the fact that I'm listening to it instead of reading it, but I like the first book a lot more so far. I just find myself zoning out and missing a lot of details, and don't like as many of the storylines thus far.
-
Why don't you just make a separate thread to discuss the books? Tons of details to become familiar with again and you could speculate what is gonna happen in the next one and the series in general. Sounds fun to me.
-
I have read the first book and half way through the second. It was a great episode, unlucky for me my 10yr old daughter walk in on me watching the first scene in little fingers brothel : (
If you have not read the book and you like the show, then you will love the book. If you read it be prepared to LOL when ever you get to chapter about Tyrion. There is not enough time to put everything he thought and said which is pure gold, into a show. -
Kinda this^^. GF's mom likes the show and we are back there for the weekend and just watched it. Could have done with toning that scene down a bit.
-
I watched all 7 yesterday. Good stuff.
-
Thanks for the heads up on this series. I'm finally doing it right.
Made it through first 3 shows last night and we intend on getting all caught up tonight. Show is sick. -
Yes, and Viserys had an older brother Rhaegar who (supposedly) abducted Ned's sister Lyanna (who Robert was in love with) and that is what triggered Robert's rebellion.
Rhaegar was considered a genius and was extremely popular with the common people of the realm. Robert killed him at the Battle of the Trident.
Just some history, yo. -
This is a question for the people who have read the books. Is there an area that you think the producers just got perfect? Obviously stay away from spoilers in your answers. I don't really care what you think they messed up because it's harder to avoid spoilers when discussing that.
I personally think the casting for Arya was just perfect. That actress has done a fantastic job of bringing her to life and she looks exactly how I pictured her. I'm not sure if they could have done any better than they have on the scenes at The Wall. The atmosphere and casting all seem to be spot on. Syrio is perfect as well. -
I like the way the director did the scene where Jamie lannister confronted Ned Stark about his brother, better then how it played out in the book.
-
I watched 1-7 this weekend, what an awesome show. I heard people saying it started slow, that is BS every episode ends with a "oh shit" moment.
Daenrys face > Angie's face -
I like that too. I also really like the scene between Jaime and Tywin at the beginning of ep. 7. It was a great way to introduce papa Lannister as the no nonsense badass he is in the books.
