    I realize that is still quite a ways away, but GOT was definitely one of the best new shows last year. Homeland is a very very close second in my opinion, but I feel that GOT blew way more minds than it did at the time it was released. If you haven't had a chance to check it out yet, please, do yourself a favor and make that shit happen before season 2 starts, you will not be sorry.

    I'm with you there, I really hope they do as well with the second season as they did with the first. I would have loved some more Hound, direwolves, etc in the first season, but I feel like they did a great job bringing the book to life.

    the absolute nuts, willpower managed to keep me from reading the book until after season 1, tragically I read all 5 in like 3 weeks and now am in the position of having to fret over whether or not they actually cast the right people, show the right scenes, etc...

    should be awesome, the power of not paying any attention at all until the show is actually back on the air...

    just watched 1st episode thanks to this thread. I don't live in a cave but hard to know about the good stuff so far away from the city where i left my heart.

    its such a good show and story. I read all five books out and got to say probably the best novels I've ever read. Can't wait to watch how they work out everything, so much depth in the second season. i trust they will do it well as they did a pretty good job in season 1 taking everything from the book.

    i hope we get to see a few epic battles too.

    eh, it's preference really. I'd rather listen to it while driving or mowing or anything else. You can usually increase the speed too, but I read slow anyways and I like how the narrator can read and portray the mood better than I can

    I agree and I am a runner so I listened to a few dozen hours last year when i was marathon training. But its just so much to get through, I could only get through the whole series prob if I had to drive a lot for work or something.

    yeah I had a long distance girlfriend, listening 4 hours at a time was pretty easy

    I really can't wait for this. Season 1 was so mother fucking awesome, can't wait for season 2 to begin. Really interested to see how the stark house operates now. Just re-watched the opening scene of s1 and wished to hell that I had the whole season because just that scene is so ridiculous that I need more.
