wights can be killed by fire but have you seen a white walker killed by fire at any point of the first season and a half??? The answer is no. I think it was speculated they can be killed by fire but we don't know for sure. except you do, because you've read the books and know the outcome.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. They're referred to as both the 'white walkers' and 'the others' in the first two books. Same with HBO. I've always assumed they're called white walkers because they are creatures of winter

Prolly cuz I recanted my momentary idiocy like 2 posts later. I always thought of it as Others and wights (that's like 20,000 pages ago in my reading trajectory, so I tend to compartmentalize and remember one name for things), so having never read HBO's website or anything to check for spelling, I momentarily brainfarted and assumed that I was hearing some nonsensical combination of both... they've made some random name changes in the series, which prolly helped my temporary idiocy.

really? I thought that it was pretty obv, but if I am wrong, then I'm confused.

Theon attacked and then Bran approved the men to leave to take it back, thus leaving Winterfell weaker to attack, no?

it looked to me like Theon finally realized what his role was, and was somewhat happy about it... I may have missed or misinterpreted something tho

I have a hard time following this show and keeping track of everyones name etc. Maybe because of the accents, I dont know. So explain to me that whole scene before he gets on the boat? "I'm the captain" blah blah blah. He's talking to that guy and all of a sudden realizes.......what exactly? They share a look and then smile. Confused.jpg

Yeah, his first mate lets Theon know that the other sailors (who were assholes to Theon) on his ship are Iron born (what ever he said) and they do as they please. Basically he tells Theon, fuck what your dad said and do what you want. It's cool here. So Theon says fuck it...let's attack the castle by Winterfell and then they may have the potential to attack Winterfell with less guards as said earlier in this thread a few posts ago. Dad and sister had nothing to do with this.
