I also thought no way that is bran/rickon but the way they shot the scene and the music makes it seem that is was.
I am betting its not though. -
Swear they said only 2 episodes left after the show but I would love to be wrong.

Wow...that's awesome! I'm so brutal with names, and this show has sooo many characters, I'm basically lost. This is helping tho. tyty

IMO the ending is made to look like bran+the other little kid with the giant and the wildling lady (at least that's what I got from it).
Have heard from people that it's the two orphan boys tho and while this might be true (I don't know for sure, I haven't read the books) I'm not sure that we were supposed to know at the end of this episode. I think that it was supposed to be left up for interpretation and even more so try to make us believe that it was bran and the other kid.
Book readers trying to claim that it's plain as day that it was the two orphan boys. GTFO -
yeah i didnt even remember seeing two orphan boys during the episode lol, joke, which ones is he even talking about -
Spoilers for s2e7, and if you don't want to read speculation, stop reading now.

Just finished watching the episode for the second time. I don't think Bran and Rickon are dead. While they are fleeing, Bran sees a farm he recognizes and says there are two Winterfell orphans there. Rickon says, "Jack and Billy! They'll give us some food." Then when Theon first gets to the farm, two young boys run right past his face.
I'll be surprised if it's actually the Stark boys burned beyond recognition hanging from those ropes. Either way, Alfie Allen is just owning his role as Theon this season.
Also the scene with most of the thirteen getting got, shocked the hell out of me. -
Warlocks gonna warlock.
-
Did you even watch the episode? There are clearly 2 sets of boys, the orphans and bran/Rickon.
Logic would suggest that the two boys they showed at the end is going to be one of the two pairs of boys.
IDK which set it is, as I said in my post, so IDK why you are getting all butt-hurt about speculation. The people I heard from were just speculating, as am I, and have not read the books, fwiw.
Oh, and my last comment was to those in this thread who posted about it being the orphans like it was fact. See FWK's post.

Dreamt all last night about GOT. It was allsome. At one point I recognized that I was dreaming so I was lucid dreaming. I decided to fly to the south, sneak in and kill Joffery and take his crown. Then I made Dani (the Targaryian princess aka Mother of Dragons) appear. Since I could control my dream I had her go down me. This was awesome until like 10 seconds later I lost control of the dream and she turned into an uggo fatty. I forced myself to wake up after that.

It was definitely set up in the episode for everyone to know that there were two boys at the farm around the same age as Bran and Rickon. One of the Stark boys even talked about how well one of them can climb a tree. When Theon finds the walnut shell he looks as if he's devising a plan and then he turns and has the old man (can't think of his name) from Winterfell sent back.

The ending scene is obviously supposed to leave you wondering which set of boys it is. Of course if it were Bran and Rickon why burn them beyond recognition. Of course that is what we're supposed to be thinking.
It was a great scene and as usual extremely well done. The look on Theon's face and his acting during that scene is superb as always. This guy is such an amazing actor.
Agree the assassination of the thirteen, errr 11 or 12 I guess, was quite shocking.
IMO no one has given away anything speculating about who the burned boys are that anyone who paid attention to the episode wouldn't have pick up on themselves.
Pretty sure I dreamed a little G.O.T. last night myself. -
sick condescending fail. yes, I am aware of the 2 orphan boys. I watched the episode twice, actually.

well, you used confusing wording and bad grammar in addressing that post. read it again if you don't see why. it appears you are posting about something book readers have discussed...Originally Posted by Ntaust10

FWK is a friend of mine and has not read the books. his post was referencing a tv critic, AFAIK.
I get what you meant now tho, so my bad I guess. -
I also thought the assassination of the 13 shocking.
Kind of disappointing that we are not going to the see the Unsullied plot line (I am assuming) but could easily see why they are skipping.
Will be interesting to see the sea battles. Hopefully they did not budget these out. (Not a spoiler, Tyrion clearly stated that Stannis has 200 ships coming) -
Edited By: DiamondDixi May 14th, 2012 at 11:29 PMThe next episode "Battle of Blackwater" was written by GRR Martin and should be amazing. I definitely think since the episode is called Battle of Blackwater it's definitely not a spoiler to assume there will be a battle.Originally Posted by Shagadelic

Also the Unsullied is not even in the 2nd book (I'm told, haven't read them) so that would explain why we aren't seeing the plot line. -
didn't the episodes at one point say Ned stark will join the crows on the wall? Nice post Shag. ffs

what in the mother loving hell

there aren't going to be two separate threads, and book readers will continue to post b/c everything they post is up for debate. If you don't want to bitch about it, dont read the thread or read the heavily modded 2+2 thread with NO BOOK SPOILERS
