    I've never heard of a 'gay hotel' before. Do you have to prove you're gay or something to get a room? Will they ban straight women & men; is it even legal to do so?

    Opening March 1, the OutNYC will have 105 rooms, including $99 per night 'Sleep Share' rooms with 3 strangers. Each guest in the room gets a single bed, a tv...and privacy curtains. And there will be a gay nightclub downstairs, called XL.

    They will also have single occupancy rooms starting at $229/night.

    Lol - they will prolly get all exclusive and shit, and they'll tell you there are no vacancies when you show up to check in; "there are no Communal rooms available sir, but we have a lovely single occupancy penthouse suite for only $799 per night". Or they will require a reservation placed online with photo ID - that way they can weed out the dudes that don't measure up (so to speak).

    Would be pretty ironic if they ended up being the most discriminatory place in the city.

    I bet down in that nightclub, those 4-man room keys will end up being a huge black market currency (brown market?).
