    I agree that the Flyers will win easily, but a sweep? Montreal salvages a game imo.

    Way to struggle against a team that wouldn't even be in the playoffs if they played in a normal division. We also played 5 games without our best player and captain so that didn't help. Now that he's back, Habs = unstoppable. GG, WP, UL, etc..

    in case ya haven't looked a tthe standings in awhile, and why would ya with the playoffs underway, the Caps actually had as many points as the Bruins and Flyers, and two more than 9th place Carolina

    That is because they play the Thrashers, Panthers, Hurricanes and Lightning 8 times a year. Habs would have 70 wins in that division.

    Your division is weak compared to the Atlantic. Ottawa being your #1 competition and they were less than stellar this year. If the habs were in our division they probably wouldnt have made the playoffs.

    Anyway, gl habs fans. It should be a tough round.

    the whole patrick division made the playoffs except the Isles. By your reasoning the Flyers should be considered a much higher seed.

    As a subjective hockey junky (I am a rangers fan and I dont have a particular liking to the flyers or habs), the Habs will win this series in 6. The reason: Discipline.

    The Habs are #1 on the powerplay (yes, The flyers are #2 and I know this) but the flyers are very undisciplined on defense and take massive amounts of penalties. Given the Habs insanely good powerplay, they will score more powerplay goals than the flyers, and a lot more. The flyers will then have to change their strategy to play more aggressive offense when it is even strength and then the speed of the Habs will tear them apart on the rushes. There is what the series hinders on and the Habs will capitalize and beat the flyers in 6. Also, the Habs defense is a lot better than the capitals and it will be harder for the flyers to score.

    Does it really matter what team makes it out of the Eastern Conference?

    Its all pretty moot as the real Stanley Cup Final is decided in the Western Confernce final series each year.
