So I drove my wife to the airport at 4:45am this morning so she could catch her flight to San Francisco to meet up with some of her NYC running friends that are running the San Fran marathon. I get home, fall back asleep for a while, wake up, and turn on the TV. I start thinking about the weekend ahead...*falls in a daze*
Hockey tonight (I have NHL Center Ice...I'm CDN too, so F bostonkitty). College football all day tomorrow, NFL all day Sunday, AND POKER THE ENTIRE TIME!!!! However, I hit a problem this afternoon. So I'm watching sportscenter and I see there's a college game on ESPN tonight at 8. But my Ottawa Senators start at 7pm. What do i watch. DING DING DING. I quickly run into the office, pull apart all cables from the 32" LCD...move it into the living room and put it right beside the 40" LCD. WOOO HOOOO...sports heaven. So I'm connecting all of the cables, splitters, etc...when it hits me. Shit! I'm short one length of coaxial cable for the 2nd splitter. Pfffffft. So I ponder and rack my brain for the next few minutes. Do I actually leave the house and go outside to get one (I know, seriously, I mean all the way to Home Depot, wtf) or do I just rest my lazy ass back on the couch and put up with one sports event at a time?
Well, I went to the store, and got milk too!! So as far as I'm concerned, it's looking like 96 hours of sports and poker.
Mike (aka - enormous degenerate but at least I admit it). -
rad.

I wanna be your dear friend.
(Bill Bradskey SNL quote....)
I realize that I am a degenerate as well, so my opinion is biased, but when I read that story I became a little pissed that I have to spend the weekend drinking with friends to prove that I am socially capable of time away from poker. Wtf. Multiple screens of sports. Online poker. Enjoy the weekend. -
Actually funny you mention that. Thankfully I have friends in Phoenix (well, 2 of them) who have driven down for the weekend. Anyway, they don't really play online, but they do play poker between the boys. They're also enormous sports fans like I am, so I'll still get to play online, drink with them, and watch sports all day. Why did I get married again?
WEEKENDS OWN!!!
