    So I realize I am gona get flamed right outta OT posting this.

    However, it still disgusts me that he bolstered his image over some weak ass ficticious beef between him and Nas. I mean ppl were talkin bout that shit like it was gona be the next 2pac/biggie like beef and I feel Jay-Z benefited huge from this and it was all a fuckin lie.

    So even tho I do listen to him and could go as far as saying i semi-like most of his raps... this continues to tilt me and is the reason I will never consider him as one of the greats.

    Any1 else feel this way?? or should i just crawl into a cave on the side of a snowy mountain and pray for an avalanche?

    Most rappers today are not hard. Mainstream rap is a joke. Pretty sure that I could whip Jay-Z's ass, Puff Daddy's ass, Kanye's ass, Lil Wayne's ass (but it wouldn't be fair becuase I realize he is mentally retarded), etc. I figure the only rapper that I know of who I'm certain would whip my ass is 50-cent.

    I don't even know who the fuck NAS is, but I'm sure he is a pussy.

    Jay-Z is the 2nd best/most accomplished rapper alive, next to Nas. It really doesn't matter whether you consider him one of the greats or not.

    honestly i love Jay-Z's music and shit, I really do. I still listen to everyone of his albums, and consider Volume 1 my favorite album of all time, but I do acknowledge that he;s a fraud.

    That Camron shit swagger jacker is pretty crazy. Obv I don't buy the argument that he was "honoring" people like slick rick and shit by reusing their lines (some of which are rather obscure).

    Jay-Z>Nas for hip-hop and its culture.. jay-z made a label, a brand and put a ton of rappers thru into the buisness, and pushed the envelope.. Nas maybe better on the mic but way shitter in the buisness sense and always hated on Jay-z for it. Then Jay-z squasehd it, and in the Jayz video J is in the middle and NAS is a wing man as they sit on the pool table... JAY-Z > NAS end it.

    not sufficient to call illmatic "hot." arguably the greatest rap album all time. plus nas has ether, which is arguably the greatest diss track all time. and in both those cases, that's using "arguably" pretty loosely.
