  4. Really like the upset here so that prob means that GB have it wrapped up by half time
  5. Giants 37
    packers 35

    GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG MEN
  6. I think the Giants are very well prepared for this game having won there in the playoffs a few years back, playing them extremely tough a few weeks back, and now peaking at this point in the season where it matters most. Another subtle little fact is that they are also well accustomed to playing in windy, cold, and snowy conditions so weather shouldn't be a factor. We really haven't seen GB's number one unit play with a sense of urgency since seemingly before the Kansas City loss. Getting Jennings back after a month of rest is huge for this offense which is already very capable of stretching the field. GB ranks last against the pass defensively while NYG is only 3 ranks better. These two teams are gonna light up the scoreboard and I just trust Rodgers more to make smart and safe decisions with the ball. Giants very well might have a late game lead but I'll go....

    Packers 37
    Giants 31
  7. 24-20 Giants
  8. Packers 40
    Giants 24
  9. Might be a little early to post this but I know what is coming ITT. It is absurd the lack of respect people are giving the Packers(both in OT and nationally). Last I checked the Packers have won 21 of 22, 13 straight home games, are 7.5 point favorites and are 2/7 to win the game, beaten the Giants twice in the last two years(the one time at home the Giants got demolished), and oh, they are the healthiest they have been all year. EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON THE ROSTER PRACTICED YEST.

  10. WTF it's Sunday already?

    G men by 10
  11. There will be no repeat of 2008 when the Giants went into Lambeau and came away with the W. I really do not understand why everyone is saying that the Pack is going to lose here. Even Packers fans are worried. Packers players are rested and healthy. Look for the Packers QB to have a huuuge game!

I see the Packers jumping out to an early lead. Then putting it out of reach in the 4th quarter. Packers 37
    G-Men 23

  19. I am hoping that this will be another classic. I think people ITT are giving the Giants a little too much credit. Green Bay is filthy, they have so many weapons and the best QB. I am rooting for the Giants and think they will keep it close, but can't see them winning unless their D goes off and gets to Rodgers, which could potentially happen.
  20. Maybe it has to do with my overall hate of the Giants, but I really don't see how this game is close. I don't understand why everyone is all over the Giants nuts.

I mean to be realistic, they lost to the redskins in a close to must win game at home, then they got out played by the Jets all game long only to have Sanchize just give the game away. They beat the 'Boys and the Falcons but I was pretty positive they were going to do that as both those teams were severely over rated.

There's obviously a chance that the G-men pull it out, but I think they will have to hurt Rodgers to do so. (I see the pack learning from the first match-up and max protecting the whole game and giving Rodgers a chance to pick apart that defense.

I think its gonna end up being around 41-27 Pack. Pretty bummed I can't watch this game, I gotta work both nights this weekend so the only game I get to watch is Ravens/Texans. Playoff football is awesome though.
  21. I love reading the threads from last year and its amazing how fast things turn around. Everyone killed McCarthy before playoffs last year. Hilarious. Anyway. GB 27-17. Its gonna be cold and windy and some snow on the ground.. I expect the D to be hella better than all year and I think they will actually run the ball a bit more than usual this week.
  22. Sean614 is ITT saying how he thinks the giants are gonna get stomped.

  23. Is that so out of the realm of possibility that the Gina's could get crushed? I think what he is saying is in the majority of what could happen. Not like he's saying the giants are gonna crush the packers or anything......

Hate the post, not the poster.
  24. Packers 38

Ahh, I can see why your confused. I'll help clear things up for you. For the Redskins game, yeah they lost, but they were without a healthy Justin Tuck, as well as osi still being out. Stupid flukey mistakes cost them in a game where they had more yards overall still. Nicks dropping a wide open TD, among other things.
The Jets game, you can hardly say the Jets dominated. They did in the first half, but the giants defense still didnt allow them to put points on the board, as well as forced 3 turnovers with the return of osi, and the beginning of a healthier Tuck (he played like shit all year and has played great since the jets game). The giants have also found a running game since then, with changes in the O-line and a now healthy bradshaw.
I dont get why everyone is saying that the cowboys and falcons were overrated. No one said they were that great to begin with lol. The giants still beat them handily.
The main reasons that people are beginning to fear the giants is because of a Dline reminiscent of 2007, a "dumbing down" of the overall defensive scheme allowing for better coverage, as well as a revitalized run game which has been missing all year, and they still have eli's high powered passing game. The Giants have a pretty good shot to win this game IMO.
    One more thing... JPP

I mean I said there is a non-zero chance that the GMen can win, I just have a hard time believing a team that is so up and down like this one (See: Redskins losses twice, Rams a close 12 point game at home, Arizona a pretty ridiculous W, Seattle loss at home, and the Bills/Dolphins close games at home....now on the other hand they went into NE and played them tough, as well as the Pack round 1 they played well) will win this game against this team more then 15-20% of the time.

Its like everyone just dismisses everything that the packers have done, and since the Gmen have won 3 games in a row, now they are world beaters. I think everyone needs to relax.

Will I eat crow and give props if the Gmen win, Yes, however I'm around 85% sure I won't have to.

Like i said, this entire season theyve been without a healthy Dline which is by far the defenses strength, as well as a run game thats never gotten going, until the last 3 weeks...The only teams the giants didnt play tough was week 1 vs the skins, dont know how much weight u want to put into that game, no offseason and a preseason of insane injury..and the saints game in NO, again, banged up, but not gonna try and say they wouldve won that game then.
You say the giants have been inconsistent, but you dont seem to acknowledge that this is the only time all season that theyve been healthy (ignoring season ending injuries preflop). This is the only time theyve had a running game, and a strong dline all season, and its showing.
I dont think anyone is really saying the giants are favorites..but Ill definately bet against ur 5-1 odds lol.

edit: If youve been watching the giants this season, youll know that long touchdown passes arent flukey for this team lol.
