My girlfriend's bday is coming up at the end of this month and I am college student with a lot of bills so I am trying to come up with some good gift ideas on a low budget that aren't too lame/ over used ( flowers, build-a-bear, etc.) What do ya got OT?

GF's birthday was a month ago but we weren't serious and we weren't doing gifts at the time. i feel like i should get her something now...
maybe something decorative for her room? frame a picture of you guys? just take her out to a restaurant and get her a bottle of wine? -

What is your budget? You could always combine a small gift with taking her for a memorable day such as a picnic, then bowling and dinner or something like that, something with a few different venues. Maybe find out a perfume she wants or something and get that for her, shouldn't be more than $60.

my budget is about $50-70 bc i have to pay for a car lease phone bill insurance etc. and my schedule only allows me to work 2 days a week waiting tables

if she likes sentimental stuff, buy a shadow box and put some pictures of you guys in it, maybe some inside jokes, copies of concert/movie tickets youve seen together or maybe even a list of stuff you guys want to do together so you can eventually cross stuff out. if shes at all into this type of thing shes going to eat it up, but i guess it depends on her personality.
another option is (assuming you dont do this frequently) invite her over for a romantic dinner, cook a nice meal, light candles, soft music etc etc. you can cook what appears to be a fancy meal on a low budget. something like pan seared scallops, roasted asparagus, cous cous etc will cost you less than $20 to make -

Depends what she likes. Does she like to travel at all? If so, I would recommend a gift card for a vacation rental from MetroFlats.com. Clothes are also a good option. But really, it all depends on her interests.
