    I think you are getting this mixed up with sign language... I think I remember a thread debate on that awhile back.

    I'd assume everyone is in favor of hearing if possible.

    Yes. Some in the deaf community it doesnt bother them but IMO the majority doesnt like it.

    No. I know a lot of deaf people who refuse to get it as they are content with being deaf.

    such ignorance coming out of Texas! Deaf people are proud of who they are and are extremely proud in being in the deaf community and deaf culture.
