what a sick ticket that would be, from a staunch democrats point of view, i dont see how people wouldnt vote for these two
i dont think powell would have anything to do with it, but wow could that be a landslide -
really? you know absolutely nothing about what Powell's stances are on particular issues, and outside of a couple moderate positions I can't believe that as a Democrat you think Giuliani is such an unbeatable force.
The unfortunate reality is that once people find out what you're about, you aren't such a golden boy anymore... -
what did chris rock say about a black vice president.
-
big john...what are you talking about....how far right are you?
-
During the subway series(99 I think) he walked the political tightrope on the Mets Yankees issue untill it was clear the Yankees were going to win the series, that's F-ing discraceful.
-
F the mets
-
F u earlybird, I hope u get gonnorhea and die....
-
I'm a happily registered independent.
The only thing I point out, is that a lot of people see a name and say "wow, that guy would be unbeatable." But that person, like a Powell for instance, has never taken a public stance on a major issue so how do you know how the electorate would judge them?
When the light of media scrutiny shines on these people, often times a lot about their public perception changes. -
does 1.5/2 count?
-
he left bush's cabinet...that is quite a stand given his power......
and although you may have registered as an independent, i guarantee, you vote right -
"I'm a happily registered independent."
tell me BigJohn, who was the last Democrat you voted for?
"Don't Trust the Exit Polls" Sean Hannity just a minute ago. lol -
I'm a Libertarian, but I'd hit it!
-
I voted for Doug Wilder for mayor of Richmond, I voted for Tim Kaine for Governor of Virginia, and Bobby Scott for Congress in 2004.
That's three Democrats. -
artie SPEAKS...weeeeeeeee
-
it's funny because I am listening to Hannity, and he is hilarious. I just have to watch/listen to them in their most desperate hour. Help ME OBI WAN KENOBI, YOU'RE OUR ONLY HOPE!!!!!
ahahahahahahhahahahahahah. i'm normally not this juvenile. -
Well, two generally useless statements that reflect you have no knowledge of what you discuss.
I already answered to your part (b) in a response to Jeri.
As for the first part... how about issues like:
-gay marriage
-abortion
-economic policies
-patriot act
...just to name a few.
When candidates start taking positions on issues like these, which the eventually have to, then people actually start to form a real opinion on them and silly polling questions like "would you vote for Powell for president?" are rendered useless. -
i just like republicans...does that scare you?
-
be nice to the repubs, they are probably edgy today. EVERYONE IS GOING TO TURN GAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!
-
LOL
-
The sad part of this is, even when/if (and my personal belief is when) the Dems win control of Congress, what of substance do you think is actually going to change?
The answer is nothing.
And to go completely political on this discussion, if I were a Republican, I'd be hoping and praying that the Dems win big in the House and even take control of the Senate. Because in 2008, it will make it that much easier to run against them. -
yes as i said earlier...bush will veto EVERYTHING in sight, and then repubs will say the dems did nothing
