  1. does it actually say this anywhere in the bible?

im not religious at all and don't really care and have no quarrels with people with a different sexual orientation. i was just watching an episode of six feet under and my girlfriend asked where in the bible it says it, or if it actually does. i told her i dont know but im sure it is somewhere if it's been restated so many times or w.e. so can anyone with a clue enlighten me ?
  2. Lake of Fire I think is the reference in the bible but Hell is a concept to scare people into Christianity

edit: first have to question whether Hell even exists from the bible

  8. In on pg 1
  9. its in there....also on the same page, dont fuck animals or the dead. forget where but nowhere near the ten commandments(its towards the middle). its like a WHOLE page of extra commandments.
  10. Actually it never says it is a sin. The line most often used to argue the point (man shall not lie with a woman..) it does not say or use the word sin. It says it is an abomination, so is eating shell fish and working on Sunday. So I guess its okay to pick and choose which one you want to go by.

I mean many of the passages used to say the Bible hates homos just talk about sex being bad in general. I mean if you believe it fine, but you have to believe it all not just pieces. Most Chritians who hate gays dont even really know where in the Bible thier support is. It is saddening, and just ignorant.

    Actually...that was pretty funny. LOL!
  12. Biblically speaking, the only condition for getting into heaven is to profess Jesus Christ as your personal savior. People try to make Christianity about "works" and being "good". That's not what it's about. It's about a personal relationship with Jesus. Homosexuality, according to the Bible, is a sin. It isn't any different from any other sin, though. Pride, lying, stealing, envy, greed, are all sins too. If going to heaven or going to hell is strictly about your actions, then none of us would be going to heaven and we'd all be going to hell. There will be gay believers in heaven, as being a sinner does not preclude you from getting into heaven!!

It saddens me that people have such a misunderstanding of Christianity. Jesus was kind and compassionate. He reached out to those that the people of his time considered "untouchable" and "sinners"--prostitutes, tax collectors, lepers, adulterers.

And Cesporz, anyone who calls themself a Christian should not hate anyone. We're called to love others. Jesus said "they will know you are my disciples by your love". If you don't see love, then you aren't seeing true Christianity. It goes hand in hand. That being said, saying that something is wrong is not hate. Be careful not to confuse the two.

This information is a bit simplistic, but it seems to cover all the bases of what I'm saying:

  13. yeah...I could kill a different baby every single night, but at the same time accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and I'm getting into heaven, right? Seems like a major flaw in the "system".

OG brings up a good point with his analogy. If you commit sin and use Jesus' forgiveness to continue that sin with justification, you are not saved. As in...You kill babies for a year daily knowing that on the last day you will accept Jesus as Lord, you will not get into heaven.. If you accept Jesus into your heart and continue to kill babies daily....than guess what....Jesus was never in your heart. But then that brings us to the man on the cross who went to heaven after a life of sin. There must be a difference between the baby killer and the man on the cross. What is it?

In addition, They say if you truly believe in Jesus Christ and accepted him as Lord.....He never leaves you even thoe you may stray later in life. The holy Spirit will always be with you and bring you back.

Sooooo....if one considers being gay to be a state of living in sin. Than you can say that that person believes in Christ while continuing to kill babies. I see your point OG. But you have to determine if being gay is actually a sin. And after that...determine if all sins are created equal. Is the man who steals everyday going to hell with the man who rapes children everyday.

  16. GOD HATES FAGS DONT NEED NO B IBLE TO BE SURE O THAT
  17. And then the Lord replied to the gay man, "The times when you have seen only one set of footprints, is when you were on your knees."
  18. Bunch of legal rationalization to justify something that is only affecting two percent of the people. I understand that there are a number of people that deviate from the norm, being that 98 percent of people are attracted to the opposite sex. And that the gays want to be able to do what ever they want whenever they want, with out a stigma being attached to it.

Behavior is not the same as race and reality is we are all of the same race...the human race. The acceptance of certain behaviors are determined by the society that they occur within. Obviously what our society as a whole is willing see as acceptable behavior has changed. So be it. The only question is where will common sense kick in and a line is drawn.

You know that there are pedophiles at this moment, probably professional, intelligent people, wondering what they can do to legitimize their behavior. After all that is another group who sees what they do as completely normal...for them. How long before a pedophile version of Barney Frank is on the hill pushing for little kids to have the right to consent...laugh if you wish or be sick to your stomach like me...but do not be surprised. On the other hand maybe this is as far as sexual deviates will go...I hope so.

After all 2 percent of the population (homosexuals) has changed the perspective of this country radically over the last 20 years....20 years ago no one would have believed what is going on now. And 20 years from now it will probably be worse , from my perspective, at the rate we are going.

I could care less what these people do..unless it directly impacts myself or my family. Just do not ask me do pretend it is normal behavior, because it is not even if they do get married...lol.

While about 7 percent of adult women and 8 percent of men identify as gay, lesbian or bisexual, the proportion of individuals who have had same-gender sex at some point in their lives is higher. For example, 15 percent of the men aged 50-59 said they had received oral sex from another man at some point.

  22. In Leviticus 18:22 it states do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.

Romans 1:26-27 says men who do indecent acts with other men receive due penalty for their perversion.

Also in Corinthians 6:8-10, it lists several types of people including homosexuals and says they won't inherit the kingdom of God.

I am far from a religious scholar and used wiki to refresh my memory on this subject matter.
  23. If there is a God, I think he would say that consenting adults should relate and commit in any manner they see fit.
