Golden Ratio
Edited By: mordan Oct 22nd, 2011 at 01:00 AM
Pretty cool read I thought. I'm 1.42, apparently I have some work to do lolIf you want to build a body that is attractive in any type of wardrobe and is noticeable even from across the room, you need to optimize your Adonis Index. You need to develop your shoulders so they’re broad compared to your waist. The perfect dimensions are – you guessed it – in line with the golden ratio. So, if your waist is given a value of 1, your shoulders should be 1.618. This would be considered the “ideal” Adonis Index.

aka phi and It's a really amazing number and it shows up everywhere in nature.

Fibonacci sequence approximates it. Take any two adjacent terms and divide the larger one by the smaller. Boom you get a number close to phi (closer to phi the further in the sequence you do it) which makes me happy. I'm a total math nerd tho -
Being 5'8 doesn't help me much.

A LOT of the stuff you read about phi is 100% made up horseshit.
It's interesting, but read these "facts" about phi in nature with extreme skepticism. -
