Golfing in Vegas

    Going out to Vegas in late August (Thurs-Sun), staying at the Palms and then Rio. Probably hitting the pool at the Palms Thurs and Fri, but I'm thinking about hitting the course on Sat or Sun. Any Advice on where/when to go?

    It will be a twosome and we are both hacks. We will probably finish like 20-30 over, so a nice atmosphere is more appealing than high rating. We will need to rent clubs and probably don't want to drop more than a few hundred on the whole excursion. Also we won't have a car so somewhere close would also be good.

    callaway is a par 3 and pretty close to the strip
