  1. I've been on the tournament grind for awhile now and need to do something about my eating habits. Tourney breaks are just about the perfect amount of time to make a sandwich, but I can't live off just that. What do you guys do for food while grinding??

  2. Get a laptop so u can play in the kitchen

  3. cook yourself some penne pasta before your session and mix it with a pasta sauce, during the 5 min break add cheese and put it in the oven! Add frozen mixed vegetables aswell if you want! also peel and eat a carrot! Easy!

  7. Laptop helps, but honestly you can't do anything if you're playing 6+ tables for instance.

    Healthy:

    Toasted bagel and cream cheese

2 slices of bread, your choice of meat (ham, turkey etc), slice of kraft american cheese, your choice of dressing (mustard, mayo etc)

    Apple, orange, banana

Buy pre-made salad mixes. add dressing and croutons

    Lean cuisine

    Re-heat leftover meals

    Water

    <strike>Unhealthy:</strike>

<strike>Frozen items like: Pizza rolls, Quesadillas, hot pockets etc. </strike>

    <strike>Ice cream</strike>

<strike>Cookies, chips, and other junk food</strike>

    <strike>Soda, beer</strike>

edit: you said good meals, crossing out unhealthy foods.

  8. Ham, turkey, salami, etc. Sandwiches are your best friend. I recently switched it up a little tho. Onion bagel toasted then add turkey and american cheese. Its great but if you have an appetite you are going to need about 3 of these to cover you for a few hours. Fruit/Veggies are great to keep you focused. If that doesnt work reheated pizza is always good.
  9. Think I'm gonna have to check out lean cuisine

  10. Pita bread and hummus, fruit, pickles/olives. Powerbar "Nut Natural" Bars... specifically that kind, it tastes pretty good and has plenty of vitamins. These might not be ideal, but they're all healthier than the cookies/frozen dinners I eat as well.
  11. the nite b4 a sunday ill make a whole box of pasta and cook a whole pack of ground turkey breast. mix these 2 together in a pot with a whole jar a tomatoe sauce and you have like 4-5 meals and its healthy. add some mozarella cheese to it too. it only takes like 1-2 mins to heat up and like 20 mins to cook the night b4

  12. let me tell u i have the absolute best solution one could ask for. i have a woman that cooks for me. so much easier than timebanking while tryin to get back to the game. so if ur single, just go out and get a woman and make her cook.
  13. Frozen meals all day. Hot pockets, lean cuisine, stoufers. Canned soup works too.
  14. Have my maid make it for me

    Such a bachelor !!
  17. Lean Cusines actually are not that healthy though, they have a lot of sodium so you have to be careful which ones you choose.

I would say pita and hummus is good I love it.

Brushetta is easy to make if you already have the stuff for it.

    Ya I agree.

Also you can make shrimp scampi so easy. Go to the supermarket and buy those 2 pound bags of cooked jumbo shrimp frozen. It will last you a while depending on how much you eat. McCormacks makes a great scampi sauce.

If you are cooking for yourself. Thaw out as much shrimp as you want. Pour half the bottle of McCormacks in a small frying pan on medium heat. Put the shrimp in and boil pasta. Make sure you stir up and flip over the shrimp. Don't cook too long as it is already cooked.

Strain the pasta and put back in same pan. Pour the shrimp over it and mix it up a bit over low heat(not necessary but I like to do it.)

I also like to add some red sauce usually if I have it with pasta. It's also good with white rice.

Get yourself some lettuce, tomato, cucumber, bottle of cabernet and a girl then you be pimping for alot less than 100 dollars plus tip imo.
  19. I have not had lean cuisine so I can't speak for those but if you can find Amy's brand frozen food they are fucking awesome. They also make really good breakfast burritos and regular burritos. Everything they make is organic and not terrible for you. Their indian food and mexican style food are fucking awesome. I pretty much stock the freezer at work with this stuff and never get sick of it. Good variety and easy as well, not to mention awesome tasting.
  20. May not be the best sushi ever but pretty good for homemade fast food type:

I use asparagus and make a spicy mayo using sriracha. PLus wasabi is pretty cheap so you ca use that too.
  21. get some refried beans, jalepeno slices, chedder cheese...throw it all on a tortilla, roll it up... microwave for 1 minute...serve with hot sauce
  22. Along with whatever meals you're intending to have while playing, you should probably get the following to help lower your cholesterol and triglycerides (they're likely high if you eat shit PLUS don't exercise):

Fish Oil tablets (they have Omega 3 in them)

Flaxseed (put it on whatever...cereal, anything. You can cook with them, eat them raw which isn't fun...I have them with Wheaties and skim or non-fat milk myself).

    Just my opinion.
  23. hot pockets like whoaaaa
  24. Wholefoods has great sushi. Get your own soy sauce tho. Those lil packets are kind of annoying.

There is nothing worse than bad sushi. Some supermarkets are SFGross.
  25. Microwavable Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches imo
  26. Yeah I am very picky about my sticky rice and I can not eat sushi is the sticky rice is gross. I love sushi. I think I might make some later now lol.

Oh and here is a good reicpe as well that does not take that long

    Cesporz's Ceviche.

2 packs or can of tuna in water not oil

One jalapeno, slice not minced use as much or little you depends on how spicy you want it

1 onion diced use as much as you want or as little or none at all lol

    fresh cilantro

Lemon Juice, about 4 lemons worth

    A splash of lime juice

    A little mined garlic

    1 medium tomato diced

    1 tablespoon of Olive Oil

    Salt and Pepper for taste

    1 cucumber sliced
    Optional-Minced avacado

Mix all together in a bowl. Use the cucumber slices as "chips" to eat it with.
