Good places to golf in January and February (Australia/New Zealand?)

    Does anyone have any experience golfing in Australia or New Zealand? I've tried to get as much info from google as possible, but if anyone has had any personal experience golfing there, Id appreciate it. Im looking for a good practice facility more than anything (a decent course would be nice too), and preferably with the best weather possible. I want to leave in late January for about 3 weeks and spend less than 8k.

    Anyone know where PGA pros play during winter months? I'd have to imagine they travel somewhere cause its pretty tough playing in sub-50 degree weather every day.

    agree 100% with hawaii.... sooooooo much good golf on Maui, Big Island and Kauai.... shop for deals and you're guaranteed a great experience.

    mmmm if you're looking for good weather in Aus prolly the Gold Coast. Got some great resort style courses up there. PM Bashalane, he'll know a few good ones up there and also good places in Melb to play

    If you plan on hitting the west coast, there are plenty of top courses (The Vines, Joondalup, The Cut, Gosnells, Lake Karrinyup and plenty of new driving ranges) only problem is that at that time of year here it is usually around 40 degrees C. Happy golfing!!!
