  1. My flight out of Boston leaves tonight at 9 and I'm trying to cruise around the Fenway area and sample the local fare. I'm at Boston beer works right now, are there any can't miss food/beer or other spots around here?
  2. Go check out Remys. Not too far from where you are now. Also the Cask is right down the street.
  3. You missed out on the greatest Brunch ever at Abe and Louies...
  4. Eh all the places around there are basically the same (Cask, Game On, Remy's etc). $7 bud lights and average bar food.

  7. Admiral - I would meet up and show you around the area but i'm in CT for the weekend.

Dbo - I'm a rare breed. Life long bostonian that hates Sam Summer.

I didn't mean it in a negative way. Just that if you've been to one bar in that area you've been to them all. Just stay at one and enjoy.
  10. If it were nicer, baseball tavern has a nice roofdeck.
  11. Hey man, sorry I missed you.

I'd head down towards the harbor if the weather is good, there are some cool spots and it's a really nice area to walk around if you have time to kill. Fenway Park is a truly special place, but the bars surrounding it are just meh.

Sorry I just missed you there, I'll see you in Vegas, I hope.

P.S. The harbor is really close to the airport, just two train stops away iirc.
  12. There is a really good spot close to there with incredible pizza that is a bar as u walk in to the right but the rest is a restaurant. It was very close to Fenway but I forgot the name of it

lol at the guy who drinks bud light. hopefully hes just a teenager, real men dont drink bud light
  14. Be more of a clown. I am sure not all places right next to Fenway are both restaurants and bars so maybe someone that lives there could be of more help.

  15. I would go to Remy's for the simple fact that Rem Dawg is the fucking man (assume that is who it is named after, or that he is the owner?)

I've never been out drinking in Boston. It's on my bucket list
  16. naw bro your suggestion was just idiotic. go have a bud light

Best advice itt. It's really nice out around here today. Tia's on the waterfront is a great place with great scenery usually and it's pretty close to the airport. With the Sox being out of town it probably isn't that busy around Fenway so make your way over to the waterfront and enjoy. At the very least you will be closer to the airport and right on the water on a beautiful day.

  19. The best spot is prolly at least 2 arm lengths away from Fenway.

He tends to break out into spontaneous epic dancing, and you dont want to get caught in the crossfire.
  20. Boston beer works was an excellent decision op. Cool place.

I didn't really like Remy's. The pulled pork slider was pretty damn good tho.

I don't thAt area all that well. I know there is a pizzeria UNO when you walk from the T stop. I usually just hit the beer works or cask when I go up there.

When the Sox are in town you can't go wrong wherever you go around there. When they are not it is a lot different. I live close enough that I would not be hungry when I got to the area. It's not really the kind of place that I would have any recco's for anybody. The mainstream places are baseball tavern, game on and Remy's.

It depends on what you are looking for. Some people are cool with getting a sausage and pepper from a street vendor. Some people want fine dining. Copley Square(where I used to work for 5 years) has tons of restaurants that won't be as busy and is a ten minute walk from the stadium. BUT! Let's keep in mind that the Red Sox aren't even in Boston right now... If I was chillin in Boston I would be on the Waterfront especially if I was flying out tonite.

I am interested to know what hotel Admiral chose to stay at and how much it cost.
  28. Who gets anything but a sausage before a game? mmmmm

beer and wings from either beerworks or game on before game, sausage on the way out after the game when they're cheaper
  30. Got some #9 wings at beers works, had a sAusage from the sausage co, went to whatever the bar is that has the view into center field and then watched the end of the barca game (congrats clay saw a big win on fb) and pretty much stayed there till I left for Logan. I'll be back in august and I'll definitely check out the other spots.
