    Today Rivrr had her leg surgeries. They did both legs at one time today. She had Sclerotherapy on one leg. Its where they inject a chemical into the veins and it can no longer hold blood and after time the vein just dies.

    The other leg they did Endovenous Abulation. They use a laser to heat the inside of the vein to kill the tissue and close it off.

    She will be off her feet for a day or so and if this doesnt hold then they will go in and cut out the veins completely.

    Hiya all......

    Thank you all for the well wishes. My legs are feeling alittle funky. Left one is feeling strange but the right one is really uncomfortable. Having to sit with them elevated and all. Having the kiddies run for my drinks is actually fun LOL, Bad Mommy.

    But thank you all again, I know that I will recover just fine but in the meantime, I have to be patient and cant go out and run a mile just yet.

    Hiya SoCal,

    here is the story. Several months back I went in to have my consult for my breast aug surg. and when I was there the doctor knoticed the varicose veins in my leg. He said that I needed to have them looked at first before I was able to have that surg.

    Well, I then went to my doctor, who is also my heart specialist and it turns out that I have sever varicose veins that cause lots of pain and 2 blood clots on the sides of my knee caps. If I would have went to have my boob job, it could have killed me on the table with no explaination so I am very lucky.

    It took me almost 4 months to get in to see the specialist but when I arrived today he said that he wanted to begin treatment today so here I am now, with my legs all wrapped up and the right one is just soooo uncomfortable but I will be fine in a few days. I go back for him to see the results of todays treatments and if there is only a mild improvement or no improvement, he will schedule the other surgery and that is the one that we are all trying to avoid.

    Jeez, good thing the doc noticed the leg problem before they scheduled the augmentation though, that could have been fatal.
