Taking the gf to Vegas for a few days and I'm looking for a good steak house with atmosphere and obv a great steak. Not looking to spend more than $150, which will hopefully include a couple of drinks too. Include price range too! Thx
-
I've only been to 2 steakhouses in Vegas; The Range and Smith & Wollensky. Both were great and will go back to both of them. The Range had a better looking dining area and view. Both are probably about $50 a person.
-
applebees, thank me later, youll definitely get laid
-
rock you prob get all the ladies huh?
-
Capital Grille. Delmonico steak is what I recommend. All the sides are awesome. Probably $125-150 for two. It's in the Fashion Show Mall. Best meal I have ever had.
-
"A couple of drinks" for two will put you out of the range of Morton's, S&W, Delmonico's, and most of the other steakhouses listed here.
Two drinks = $20
Steak = $35
Side = $8
So that's $125 for two people...assuming you're not getting an appetizer, salad or dessert. That's before tax & tip.
My advice is to figure out how to loosen up the wallet a little bit. If you want the full-blown experience, cut $100-150 out of something else on your trip. Most of the places mentioned are a "remember it forever" kind of eating experience, if you're willing to fully indulge in it. -
sierra golds is off the strip but pretty good food and relatively good prices with hot chicks working all around
-
craftsteak at mgm-had this for the first time last week. . . IMO very overrated by the posters here, steak/sides were average (at best) for the price
capital grille is good. . .could not complain
best i've had is morton's. . .very expensive. . .but it is damn good
smith & wollensky's is good as well. . .although the atmostphere in the chicago location is a little better I think. . .
$150 for two at a good place is tough. . .can be done. . .but you'd ruin the experience cause you'd be too focused on the tab. . . -
I really enjoyed THE Steak House at Circus Circus. Its a 5 star steak house.
-
Oh, and BTW...I did a little bit of research after I posted. My #s are low.
Steaks at Delmonico's in the Venetian run $40+, with sides at $10+.
Steaks at N9ne in the Palms run $45+, with sides at $11.
When my wife and I went to Morton's for our 10th anniversary, we:
- split an appetizer
- split a vegetable side
- each got a potato side
- each got a steak
- split a dessert
- got a medium-priced bottle of wine
And the whole thing ran about $300. Worth every penny. -
Sizzler has a Steak & Lobster combo for $14.99 right now.
Thank me later... -
DING DING DING DING DING DING! We have a winner! This is exactly the point. If you're going to spend $150 on a good experience, you might as well spend $300 on one you'll never forget. Do less gambling or shopping or clubbing or whatever on the rest of your weekend. Get breakfast at the coffee shop rather than the Sunday Brunch at the Wynn.

The S&W in Chicago is right on the river, facing the Loop...FANTASTIC setting for dinner.
I've never been to the Capital Grille in Vegas, but I've been to the original one in D.C. Take out a 2nd mortgage and get the cold seafood appetizer platter with an extra round of crab claws. -
nero's honestly a lifetime top 5 steak. gl sanka.
-
N9ne is tremendous, Vegas or Chicago.
I thought Circus Circus was great too, you'd never expect it, but it is top notch.
Delmonico at Venetian was pretty good too, but shortly after I dined there a $1200 stereo showed up on my credit card, and that was the only place I used that card over a 6 month span. Shady IMO. -
Craftsteak, delmonicos, capital grille are all excellent.
If its a special occasion for you and your girl I highly suggest Prime @ Bellagio- same price as the above, amazing food + service, but the atmosphere is more upscale and intimate. Gonna run you about 200-230 ish for two. -
Thanks for all the suggestions! Much appreciated! Any1 ever been to, The Top of the World, restaurant on top of the Stratosphere. I read the views/atmosphere is amazing and the food is good. Opinions? thx
-
I say this everytime someone asks. I would never stay at the Luxor, but the Luxor Steakhouse has very good steaks, is reasonably priced and has great service. Well under $ 100 per person with a few drinks. Obviously sharing sides.
Try it. -
co-sign on delmonico's.... amazing meal... couldn't recommend it strenuously enough...
-
Screw the steak house take her here.

It will cost you more then 150 though. -
Been to N9ne, Craft and The Steakhouse in Vegas, and been to Capital Grille at home. All pretty good, but I do have to say that N9ne takes the cake.
I would go into detail about the meal that me and 3 other buddies had at N9ne, but you probably wouldn't believe we actually ate that much food, and if you did you might puke.
Good point about not sweating the tab too. If you're trying to have a decent meal with the gf and you're worried about whether you should order the Filet or the Sirloin, you might as well go to Applebee's. I doubt spending 2 bills is really gonna cramp your style . . . . then again this rationalization in is what makes the bank account shrink like your manhood while skinny dipping in May when you're in Vegas. -
My best Vegas dining experience was at Prime Steakhouse at Bellagio. The food was amazing. The special was a kobe beef which I will never forget.
I will say this - I was comped a full dinner for two, so I was not so focused on the tab,e tc... just had to cover the wine and tip. But, I believe it would have run about $65-$70 per person without the wine and tip, so probably a bit above your line.
I agree with others in this thread 100% on one thing though: If you are going to a place that will cost $150, well don't worry if it goes to $250. These kind of meals are once in a long time for most people, and so what if you have to cut out a few extra hands of blackjack.... she will thank you accordingly I hope. -
One thread wasn't enough?
