If you are looking for a way to take payments online for something, DO NOT USE GOOGLE Checkout. I dont know anyone else really who talks on this forum who has something like this, but just in case, DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!
0 support help, 0 phone numbers, 0 online chat (they used to have this),
basically its this in a nutshell. You take payments with the google checkout . people can easily provide payment and its about as easy if not easier then paypal even. every 48 hours whatever funds you are owed go to your verified bank account. most in my field also use Google adwords or something simular which in my case is costing me about $200- $250 a day, and gets withdrawn every 4 days automatically from your same verified bank account.
Well in my situation, and now come to find out in MANY OTHERS, for no apparent reason the money earned stops being deposited into your bank, and many have had to wait 2 months until it starts up again every 2 days after that. Well do the math, cashflow will put any business in the toilet.
heh oddly enough this sounds like a neteller thread or something like that. again , not sure if this is of any help to anyone here, but if you are looking into a payment method, dont use this. great interface and way for sellers to safely buy products, horrible for buyers(much like paypal, see www.nopaypal.com) -
Interesting, I was looking into this thanks for the heads up. What business do you run? and what merchant account do you use if you don't mind? Is it Cardservice International? Sorry about all the questions but I'm really interested in google checkout and any more info would be appreciated. Thanks

hey, i also use paypal thx to a friend who takes payments for me. I wouldnt except that people/buyers are PROGRAMMED into thinking that they are the best option. and maybe for buyers yeah they are good.
I also went to Wachovia , the main bank on the East coast and got a merchant account with their ViaKlix merchant accounts, and then I use https://www.anadynesystems.com as the checkout. With this I get my money in about 24 hours, sadly people dont use this as much as they would a Google checkout or Paypal option, so it hurts cashflow.
I lease the rights and buy some as well to old old tv shows/cartons and get them released to dvd in the best possible quality(best as they allow me too for a show that was never factory sealed and put to dvd) , -
That's cool, I'll look into that checkout service forsure thanks. When someone pays through paypal via a credit card do theyhave to sign up for a Paypal account or can buyers bypass that if theydont want to sign up? I'm trying to find a cheap merchant accountalternative to Paypal with little or no monthly fees if possible. Thanks again.

The Merchant account i use , peopel do not have to sign up for anything, they just provide info and walla!
