    I signed up for this a few days ago, and I'm pretty sure it will be here today. It's basically a pilot program for the Google OS and they send you a laptop and you have to test it for them.

    I filled out an app, waiting for a response. One thing I didn't find--does the laptop need to be sent back after the testing/feedback? I would assume it does, but it'd be pretty fkn awesome if it doesn't.

    I don't think it does, your giving feedback so the laptop is kind of payment. You won't get anykind of response, if you go to fatwallet.com and search for google, there is a website listed that tells shipments to your zipcode. That's the only way to tell if your getting it.

    Fingers crossed.

    After I submitted it went back to the apply screen with no acknowledgment of application. So... they might want to fix that (and reduce repeat applications).

    If it did that it didn't go through, you need to go back and fix what might be wrong. Remember 140 characters or less for the reason.

    any updates on this?

    i applied and used my gmail account. i usually use a different account for all stuff that isn't personal or job related just in case they decide to sell my info to spammers.

    wellllll i started getting spam earlier this month in my gmail spam folder. like 40 a day. did anyone else who signed up for this recently start getting spam out of nowhere? just wanted to see if there was a connection between this and the spam...
