    12 Monkeys
Ran (Kurosawa - spectacular battle scenes)
    Memento
    Wild at Heart
    Gladiator
    Braveheart
  4. Scarface...noooo....

I think its a very entertaining movie but it is completely overrated. It isn't even the best movie about cocaine (Blow > Scarface)

Some of my favorites (not the greatest movies ever) include:
Blow, Snatch, Coach Carter, Remember the Titans (<3 Sports movies), Traffic, Hustle & Flow, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, American History X, Crash, Mission Impossible II, and Saw (incredible ending)

If you want to talk about "greatest" you need to bring in Shawshank Redemption, Braveheart, The Passion, Exorcist, and Godfather I
  5. "Blow > Scarface" is the biggest crock of all time, and I had to stop reading your post after you said that.

Other good ones people didn't mention are A Clockwork Orange, The Deer Hunter, Apocalypse Now, The Crow, Enter the Dragon, Major League, and Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas
  6. Definitley watch "City of God". I absolutely loved this movie. "Lucky # Slevin" was one of the best newer movies i've seen in awhile. Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs....soo many more but my mind is blank.
  7. Shawshank
    The Usual Suspects
    GroundHog Day
    Plains, Trains & Automobiles

    .....to name a few

also..Good Will Hunting & Christmas Vacation
  8. Soul Man
    Better Off Dead
    Puppet Master
    Mary Poppins
    Armed & Dangerous
    Shogun
  9. platoon
    a clockwork orange
    usual suspects
    silence of the lambs
    shawshank
wizard of floyd.... er i mean Oz
    a christmas story
    braveheart
    the fugitive
  10. Something About Mary

    OBV
  11. He's right about Scarface being overrated. I like the movie, but it isn't THAT great, it gets a lot of "fake" respect.

And the OP is obviously a fan of gangster flicks, but Donnie Brasco isn't that great of a gangster flick, the movie isn't very entertaining. The book is fucking fantastic, but the movie is C quaility.
  12. >>
    (Blow > Scarface)
    >>

    blasphemy

    (Blow is good though)
  13. Im happy people are saying Braveheart. Also, Contact is the most underrated movie ever created
  14. maybe I just hate scarface b/c every rapper mentions it in one of their songs...fucking annoying

not to mention there is a video game about it now...stupid
  15. One I forgot to mention, Schindlers List, it gives me chills
  16. I think Braveheart is way over-rated, and I wouldn't even put it in the top 100.

    Predator, however, is real good
  17. Big Lebowski
    Casino
    Requiem for a Dream
    Seven
    Anchorman
    wedding crashers
    Clockwork Orange
  18. ^^ Ill give you props for Requiem for a Dream, makes you never want to touch drugs...Seven is pretty sick too, but Wedding Crashers and Anchorman, come on
  19. godfather 1 and 2
    usual suspects
    shawshank
    seven
    big lebowski
    cinderella man
    american history x
  20. actually Stand by Me is the greatest movie ever made---get that one
  21. "Braveheart is way over-rated."

    How dare you?
  22. a lot of great films posted here, for the most part i agree. but id like to add 'lock stock and two smoking barrels' (personal fav). saw this after i saw snatch, and while snatch is excellent, id have to say lock stock tops it.
  23. anchorman may prove (with time) to be among the greatest - wedding crashers never will.
  24. Yeah. Lock Stock and Snatch are both good ones. I wonder why that director (madonna's husband) hasn't made more films since then?

    It's like Wilmer Valderama says:

"He's got a unique style. He brings something different to the table. He has a lot of energy, and it works."
  25. did u ever see revolver, same guy did that too.. im brain dead right now and too lazy to look up the director/cast but its all the same guys from snatch and lock stock and then some.. IMDB it. but yeah, its a very unique style and if it takes years upon years to put out a classic, so be it.
  26. braveheart

  27. Braveheart is definitely in my top 5.
  28. Can't believe no one said The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The Return of the King is the greatest movie ever made.
  29. no one for Reservoir Dogs?
  30. Along Came a Spider
    Dumb and Dumber
    Basic Instinct
