    grey cup is still usually a very entertaining football game, and the players are playing there hearts out for that extra paycheque cuz u know they could use the extra dollars.

    i hate all montreal teams with a passion, but the fact that saskatchewan has no professional sports teams and that they live and die by the riders, only makes me root for the alouettes.

    Saskatchewan losing would demoralize the entire province, and I love that.

    That and my ex-girlfriend is from Regina and she was a complete bitch.

    very true - my cousin was with the cats in back to back grey cups in 98 (lost) and 99 (won) -people dont realize how little they actually make as pro athletes

    Couple years back the Grey Cup was in Toronto. Scored a few passes to the Saturday night party for myself and friends. Rider fans are the NUTS, baby.

    yes i think the average salary is in the 50-70k range now

    with the winning team each player getting like 10k thats a helluva nice bonus

    thats why its hard to compare CFL to NFL - CFL has a much bigger field and you need quicker linemen and linebackers - yes, 3 downs only :) also allow men in motion prior to the snap, a more active time clock, one time out per half, etc etc etc

    I am by no means a fan of the CFL (so ridiculous that 6 out of 8 teams make the playoffs), and had no intention of watching this....but damn, turned it on in the fourth quarter, crazy game/finish.

    duval musta been shittin a brick - missed 3 (including the last one with the penalty) and had two punts under 30 yards .... very fortunate to get another shot
