    Hey the new guitar hero came out on Sunday and I had a few questions for anyone who bought it or has played it.

    -Did the drums and guitar work right out of the box? I'm hearing about a lot of broken parts.

    -How does it compare to Rock Band 2?

    -How fun are the drums? I'm thinking about just getting the game itself for the guitar, $200 is a lot of money.

    - Have you tried making your own tracks? That sounds like it would be difficult to do.

    I bought only the game for Wii, so I don't have any first hand experience with the other parts. But I have heard a lot about faulty red drum pad that doesn't record every hit, and some problems with the guitar as well. But I am having my own problems using the GHIII guitar, star power is very hard to activate, very inaccurate.

    No the guitar was awesome but the red drum pad did not detect most hits, there is a simple fix though, open the drums and place a piece of masking tape over the sensor inside.

    -How does it compare to Rock Band 2?

    Haven't played RB2

    I pretty much only play the guitar. It is the best one to date imo. FWIW the drums will probably start collecting dust soon.

    - Have you tried making your own tracks? That sounds like it would be difficult to do.

    It isn't hard to make the tracks, making good sounding tracks, now that is hard.
