  1. AND WE WILL PROTECT THE USA.

    > In WWII, Japan's highest ranking naval officer was
    > Isoruku Yamamoto. Although he was Japanese, and his loyalties were
    > unquestionably with The Empire, he studied for many years in America,
    > graduating from Harvard University. There is an oft-repeated (and

    > "You cannot invade the mainland United States. There

    > Here is why he was correct:

    >
    > The state of Wisconsin has gone an entire deer hunting

    > were over 600,000 hunters that got permits this year.
    >
    > Allow me to restate that number.
    >
    > Over the last two months, the eighth largest army in the
    > world - more men under arms than Iran; more than France and Germany
    > combined - deployed to the woods of a single American state to keep the

    >
    > But that pales in comparison to the 750,000 who are in
    > the woods of Pennsylvania this week. Michigan's 700,000 hunters have
    > now returned home. Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia,
    > and it is literally the case that the hunters of those four states alone
    > would comprise the largest army in the world.
    >
    > And that is just FOUR states.
    >
    > The total population of registered hunters in America

    > Hunting - it's not just a way to fill the freezer. It's
    > a matter of national security.

    FIFY . . .

A bunch of people with firearms is decidedly NOT an Army. It is one thing to gaze on the remains of a "kill" in the woods. It is quite another when said "kill" was talking to you about the Super Bowl two minutes ago.

  8. PM Jared Loughner

Edit: Or the guy with a concealed weapons permit that almost shot the samaritans who wrestled Loughner to the ground after he unloaded 30 rounds and ran out of ammo.

We should probably all abandon the right that defines our freedom because of the occasional wacko.

Wait, I thought the occasional wacko was the reason we should have concealed weapons. Or is it those sneaky Communists/Muslims? I'm so confused.

Yeah, so a few 9 year old girls get shot in the face at supermarkets. It's more important that we have a redneck symbol of our freedom. Plus, you know, hunting and stuff.

You're right. Freedom is relatively unimportant. And being able to defend one's self from others meaning harm is just a "redneck symbol".

  15. I fucking hate these threads. People should have the right to own a musket, that's it.

you make a good point. I remember a few nutjobs that ran people over with their cars in a bloody rampage. obviously the only logical answer is to ban cars. man, we're gonna need a lot of tow trucks.

If Scalia were honest, and only allowed the technology contemplated by the Framers in 1791, then a musket is all ye should have.

That is a very interesting thought . . . we license car drivers/owners right? Some states even make them carry insurance in case of "accidents", right? Hmmm . . .

The Framers were surely too dumb to think that there would be any advancements in weapons technology. Since they saw no need for people to defend themselves against their own government, they obviously would have only wanted the government (and not the people) to benefit from those advancements.
  20. I'd love to have a musket.
  21. and we license gun owners, at least in my state. and there's a waiting period and a background check. as with car drivers, a few crazies slip thru the cracks.
  22. Assault rifles and automatic hand guns should be permitted, because sometimes the hunter has to shoot the deer more then once, and the quicker the hunter kills it, the better.
  23. a blunderbuss would be fucking awesome! carry it in a concealed shoulder rig. out comes Ol' Bessie...panties will drop

But, do you make them carry extra insurance to cover "accidents"?
  25. We do get invaded a lot.

(Here's where you say guns are why we don't get invaded)

    You are an idiot.
  26. i support gun ownership....dipshits like the OP who post chain e-mails make me second guess myself though....
  27. i no likey el burro in e-fights, i like when his posts makes me laugh.
  28. A real hunter kills a deer with his teeth...
  29. I've never really understood the whole "protect ourselves against the government" thing anyway. Seriously, if the government gets so bad (like, say Palin was elected President)...just move! No need to start a war a get a bunch of people killed over it.

It's a mound of dirt, run by a bunch of idots, with a relatively sad and shameful past. If this place goes to shit I'm not taking up arms to get it back. It's not worth my time tbh. Plus, Australia is f'ing calling and they dont tax poker winnings.

  30. I suddenly want a musket.
