    they are saying 5 are dead now...the professor was shot but is in good condition. this is one of the most fucked up things ive ever seen

    Sounds like maybe 3 of those deaths were post-event in the hospitals? Cuz for a while recently they were saying 2 dead including the shooter, but that some of the injured were in "grave" condition.

    I have lots of friends from that school too but so far they seem to be okay.. I really really hope so.

    I've gotten ahold of most of my friends up there but there is a particular couple I haven't heard from yet. The guy's phone is off and I don't know the girl's #. I've talked to a few other ppl that know them and they haven't heard anything either :( I hope everything's ok

    and i hope she recovers jimbo, keep us informed... such a sad situation

    Awful, its beyond words. The thing is its so easy, college campuses are so accessible and with so many people I dont know how you stop it.

    6 people died

    4 of the deceased were female, 2 were male

    4 of the deceased died on the scene

    2 od the deceased died afterwards

    22 casualties total including shooter

    Casualties just means EITHER injured OR dead

    Injured means injured

    Dead means dead

    So that would mean in this case:

    22 casualties, 16 of which were non-fatal

    so fucking sick... I was in that building so many times... Walked those streets almost everyday for four years... You feel horrible when you hear about Virginia Tech but you never think it will happen to you or affect you. Such bullshit...

    The worst part is that I have a feeling that there are going to be a lot more of these types of incidents in the coming months/years, and some will probably be a lot worse. The VT thing got almost columbine-level publicity, and now all these school shooting in the same week, this is gonna make the psychos sitting on the fence jump to the wrong side of it in some cases I think.

    2008-2010 is probably going to be pretty fucked up as far as shootings go imo.

    It's like a nightmarish fad that's making a comeback looks like.

    and what the fuck did these kids do wrong... going to college... I had to take a semester off from there so I could try and save up some money... now all i wanna do is get back in school... and for what so some bs like this could happen... what a piece of shit
