    mtv is fkn horrible now//

    i watched the jersey shore marathon yesterday all day and the commercial breaks alone could turn an ordinary guy into a psycho killer in less than a day.

    They play the same fucking bullshit commercials every 8 minutes, and theres always one commercial for "the challenge" which is possibly the dumbest show on tv.

    FUCK MTV because it has nothing to do with music anymore

    im kinda glad MTV doesnt play music anymore. and really they cant afford to. who the hell wants to sit around watching "random" music videos when now-a-days we can fire up any song we want on YouTube/Spotify/iPod etc? It doesnt make sense to me when I see people bitch about there no longer being music cause you know your ass wouldnt watch it anyways.

    hate to agree with phi about anything but the stuff they play that they call music, consists of bullshit rap and r&b and lady gaga... so maybe it is good they dont play music videos anymore. But then change the fkn name of the station to realitybullshit tv or something... i mean a network that has nothing but dating shows, silent library (big lol), laguna beach, the hills, the challenge, real world, srsly not one show about music besides the countdowns or whatever.... which are the same fkn songs for like a year

    One of the biggest mysteries to me is what exactly happened to MTV? It was a very popular channel. Did artists just stop making music videos? Did they get terrible ratings? I don't listen to country music but my gf does and I know that CMT is a popular channel and they play music videos 80% of the time.

    They realized they could get more ratings with reality shows like real world showing good looking people + sex + getting fucked up, also spring break shows and what not. It's a channel for tweens & pop-culture.
