    First off I'll start off saying this is what I do on the internet. I recommend using some of the info if you don't already know it.

    Entertainment: Movies, TV shows, Stand up Comedy.

    XBMC (must get icefilms add-on!!)

    What is this program?
    "XBMC (formerly "Xbox Media Center") is a free, open source (GPL) multimedia player that runs on the first-generation Microsoft Xbox™, (not the newer Xbox 360), as well as on computers running Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows." -Wikipedia

    Basically it is a media player that started off on the xbox, but is now used on both computers and the xbox.

    Ice films Add-on This is a must when getting xbmc. You might as well not download XBMC if you don't get this add-on. (Just google "xbmc icefilms add-on".) Basically it is an add-on that lets you stream almost any movie or tv show, you can also download them. I've watched tons of HD movies streamed for free, as well as numerous TV shows. It literally has almost any tv show or movie you can think of.

    Once you get xbmc with icefilms, I recommend getting an HD cable to plug from your computer (if your using a computer) to your TV.

    "So where are the movies and tv shows coming from?"

    Megaupload dot com
    Well on the icefilms add-on the movies/tv shows are hosted on "mega-upload". I recommend spending some money for a premium membership, that way download speeds are as fast as your internet connection can go. Mega-Upload is like any hosting site for data, (photobucket etc.) but you can upload HUGE files. I'm not sure about this but I think the reason they haven't gotten in legal troubles is because they are located not in the US.

    Entertainment: Porn.

    There are many sites on the internet where you can stream adult films.

    "But how can I download the clips onto my computer?"

    Simple, get "youtube Downloader". Yes I understand Youtube does not host porn. Well this application allows you to download from other sites as well. Just copy paste the link from your adult site (Not all sites work, but the most popular one does. I'm guessing you know what site this is, first three letters are "xvi". ) and it will download to a .flv file (flash player file, you can even convert the .flv to a different file type in youtube downloader.)

    Music

    Groove shark. Nuff said. (if you want to download music, i'm sure you can figure out how to do this, I don't download music just stream it.)

    Torrents

    I recommend not using these, (viruses, download speeds are only as good as who's "seeding") basically if you find a torrent you want, chances are good that it is available in another form. Again Megaupload, but not by going to megaupload dot com site. By googling "megaupload search" and then searching there. (again I recommend getting a premium membership)

    Other Stuff:

    Xbox

    Google, "how to flash your xbox". I have flashed mine and have played "backup" copies ever since. I have over 50 "back ups". It's kind of a tough process, but if you figure it out, it's soooooo worth it, I have two xbox's one that I flashed, that I don't play online, and one that is normal that I do.

    After Effects

    It's a video compositor program, fun to mess with google "video copilot". (Leftymark and smokey I recommend this)

    I went to a seminar and one of the engineers that created After Effects taught stabilization, mocha, roto-brushing, and a new add-on 3D Camera. It was so fn awesome. There was also a guy there who works for Lynda that gave free subscriptions. Are you running 5.5? I'll check out that tutorial site, the program is so crazy that it take a long time to master.

    No I am using 4.0. But yes, video copilot is pretty awesome, Andrew Kramer (the sites founder) is a pretty brilliant young guy.

    This is fuckin awesome information - I had honestly never heard of XBMC or Ice-Films. Looking forward to trying them out today.

    It's crazy cause the engineer said that he learns from the users on different ways to do things. The two people speaking were just basically talking back and forth playing off each other and doing some crazy effects. Check out the 3D camera tracker add-on, I'm not sure if you need 5.5 to get it, but it is awesome.

    Camtasia Studio 6
    Photoshop CS4
    After Effects CS4

    I have an old XBOX don't use it, is it still worth something?

    Just watched a couple tutorials, pretty good stuff, and it's free which is huge. If I learn too much I'll definitely have to donate. I've paid for less.

    The best thing on the Internet is tehparadox and jdownloader. Blows torrents out of the water and if you get a free megaupload account you can download at around 2mb/sec and tehparadox has literally anything you could ever want

    Quick ? for you, it keeps freezing when i try to watch a HD video on xbmc.

    I tried to watch a tv show and it worked fine.

    It freezes when its counting down the 45 seconds before the video starts?

    Do you know why?

    I can't find this add-on. I googled it. One place took me to icefilms.info. But I couldn't find it on there or I'm blind as a bat. I couldn't find it anywhere else. Any suggestions on finding a link to DL that add-on?

    Edit: I dl'd the xbox version. I was hesitant to do that before since it said xbox. But it works fine. Thanks for the tips!

    It took me a min but I found it. You just have to realize the download is a zip and you'll be good to go.

    Go here

    then click on the install this link under HOW DO I GET THE ADDON?

    Then open XBMC and activate it through there.

    do you need to unzip the Icefilms.zip file to a certain directory within the XBMC file?

    see, now this is the kinda stuff I've come to rely on OT for, this is what i was railing about the other day when i complained about people just lazily posting links to Yahoo news and the like. OT is my filter on the interwebs, and thru that filter comes mostly stuff I want and/or need, whether i realize it or not.

    I downloaded XMBC and then the Icefilms add on, but I can only get movies to stream. How do i dl em? Thanks for the info in here though.

    thats the thing you dont want to unzip the icefilms.zip at all , just go to xbmc and go to system>add-ons>install from zip file and locate the icefilms.zip
