    Well done Floyd. He put in a great performance to outclass Hatton and get an historic KO and was very humble in victory.

    I felt that Hatton set the pace of the fight but was not getting enough clear shots to do any real damage to Floyd who soaked up the pressure and countered with perfection. I think Hatton was not up to his usual fighting self, maybe the extra weight, maybe the Ref hampering his game plan in the opening two rounds, but he should have adjusted.

    As for the fans booing, typical Brits abroad, what more can I say? Think they were beeing the fact that it represented Mayweather.

    Before this fight I despised Mayweather.

    But now I have to give him credit. He outclassed Hatton in the ring and actually did a great in his post fight interview.

    mayweather is sick. but i dont see why the extra lbs would hurt hatton. the guy is like 170 6 mths a year why should an extra 6 lbs hurt him. i think he lost because mayweather was not gonna go out there and have a street fight, you just cant do that against someone as fast as him.

    plus being the king of defence doesnt hurt

    The OP is wrong on so many levels, I don't even know where to start. The extra weight couldn't have hampered Hatton when he walks around at 175. He would have been even less effective if he had to make 140.

    The ref didn't let Hatton maul Mayweather the first two rounds, but Hatton was able to get inside and make it a phone booth fight starting with the third. There are a lot of other top-notch refs like Jay Nady who wouldn't have let Hatton smother Mayweather like he did starting with round 2. I have no idea how idea how the fact that Hatton couldn't punch and grap in the first two, but WAS able to do it rest of the fight would have adversely affected Ricky.

    As for the Brits booing the national anthem because they think it represented Mayweather; they would have booed if Mother Theresa was American and fighting Hatton yesterday. And even if they did think it was representing Mayweather, that doesn't make it OK for them to boo. It was fucking immature bullshit. Why the OP would try to defend a bunch of classless idiots is beyond me.

    EDIT: I just saw he's from the U.K.

    I wasnt defending the booing, was just saying tha its typically how some Brits behave abroad, and our right Mother Theresa woulda been booed. Shame really as the world thinks were all hooligans.
