  1. who will win?
  2. I hope that hatton will but i think pacquiao is to good
  3. lol, is this even a question.

pacquiao is at the very top of the game right now. he is as good as almost any fighter at any time right now.
  4. Will be much like the Mayweather bout. Hatton will come out all guns blazing and win a few early rounds...... Then the superior fighter will turn on the style and expose Hattons slow head movement and knock him out in the ninth. easy.

Juan Manuel Marquez > Manny Pacquiao

I think there is value in Hatton +215.
  6. manny has been stopped twice at a lower weight and hatton is the biggest puncher in the division and has looked a diffrent class since he joined forces with mayweather snr...

manny is at his best? all he did was beat a out of date de la hoya hatton would of had him out there twice as quick...

so yes this is a question :)

  7. Hatton easily.

Hatton will assault the Treble 20 and average in the high 70s. He'll check out around 35%. Pacquaio will simply aim at the bull and spray it around, he'll average 22. Hatton will win 8-0.

Marquez & Pacquiao are beasts! Value in Hatton at +215... that's probably about right. I'd take Pacquiao by KO in 8-9 rounds.

  9. Manny was stopped twice at a lower weight class, but both those times he was totally drained from trying to make weight and could not absorb shots to the body.

If you watch his fights with Morales and Marquez, especially the first Morales fight and both Marquez bouts, he was able to take some vicious shots, including some hard punches to the body, but was never seriously hurt.

That said, Hatton is a naturally bigger guy with underrated boxing skills and a hellacious left hook to the liver and might be able to force the Pacman fight going backwards, something Manny is not accustomed to doing. I am picking Pacquiao to win because of his superior handspeed and amazing footwork, but it is not going to be an easy fight for him and I would not be surprised if Hatton pulled off the upset.

Edwin Valero is the definition of ferocious. I am hoping that he will win a couple of high profile fights in the U.S., so that a fight with him vs. the Pacman can be made.

Speaking of Manny, as great as he might be, I think Marquez got the better of him in their 24 rounds and deserved a narrow decision in both fights. He was also outboxed by an aging Erik Morales in their first fight. And if he ever takes on Mayweather, he will get outboxed even worse.

Quality of competition and wins is not as important as the matchup itself. Before the Kostya Tszyu fight, Hatton had not beaten any great fighters and everyone was critical of the Hitman's quality of competition. But he managed to nevertheless dominate an all time great in Tszyu and eventually stop him.

Likewise, people were saying the same thing about Pacman before the first Barrera bout and Manny dominated that fight.
