    C- at best
  4. I just watched The Wrestler today cause I saw it OnDemand and remembered all the hype around it.

    I wasnt impressed.
  5. I remember when every movie I saw was awesome. Bio dome, billy madison, happy gilmore, 3 ninjas, surf ninjas, Hoosiers, dumb and dumber. mighty ducks... 1 2 and 3, I mean I was between 8 and 14. Now apparently nothing entertains me anymore except maybe inception and no country for old men. I saw the town, was bored to death and so disappointed. I think I just am not entertained by movies anymore, I really think that HBO and showtime series have ruined my enjoyment for movies, I think I always expect too much character development or something I really cant put my finger on it.

  7. bought this today havent watched it yet

  8. The Disappearance of Alice Creed disappointed, didn't it? It's pretty terrible imo. The American is the best movie I;ve seen in theatres recently, but even it isn't great..

Things I want to see include The Town, Enter the Void, Jack Goes Boatin, Never Let Me Go, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, and maybe Leaves of Grass
  9. Just saw Men Who Stare At Goats on Netflix instant. What a pile of shit.

    Agreed. It's horribly unfunny
  11. if leaves of grass is the same movie im thinking of w/edward norton I say give that a watch. Pretty decent. And the town was a good choice for theatres.

Yeah, I think it is. I didn't even know it was showing, but apparently one theatre has it.
  13. Jaws was really good too!
  14. Hard Eight on Netflix streaming is pretty good, Paul Thomas Anderson's first movie.

  15. Dear john

  16. the social network that comes out this week is being praised as one of the best movies of the decade. David fincher directing should be epic
  17. IMO "Up in the Air" and "Inglorious Bastards" were two good flicks released last yr

It was good for 20 minutes or so and then it was a complete fail.

This is shocking to me. There's nothing at all about the previews that makes me want to see this movie. It seems like making a film out of this story is a huge stretch. You now have me intrigued.

Up in the air very g00t IMO
  21. I just saw 500 days of summer, it was done very well, I just didn't like the ending.
  22. Winters Bone was a pretty well done movie.

The only intriguing part is that Fincher is directing. I think as a story it looks pretty lame but I will def. watch it since its a Fincher film.
  24. Ip Man was an awesome movie that I saw recently.

It's about Bruce Lee's grandmaster. He was a master practitioner of Weng Chun.

Donnie Yen plays Ip Man and it has some really good martial arts scenes. His hands are crazy fast. I'm a big fan of Weng Chun it's a bad ass form of kung fu that is rarely practiced today.
  25. Is MacGruber any good? Thinking about renting it.
  26. See the movie Unthinkable. It has samuel L Jackson in it.

I thought it was really good.

Agree with this. Nothing about it is appealing to me.

Well its actually still somewhat common, at least where I come from. And I've always spelled it Wing Chun. You could also rent Wing Chun starring Michelle Yeoh, but its not that good tbh.

If you want the best new martial arts film, watch Ong Bak 3. If you haven't watched any of the Ong Bak series, watch 1 and 2 first. Tony Jaa is just as good as Jackie Chan in his prime, with the potential to be better.

God this movie is bad. And I love dumb comedies. Just awful.
