Can any OT'ers recommend a good but inexpensive pair of headphones. I'm not a fan of the earbud ones, but I don't want the over-ear ones to be too bulky/heavy. I've used a shitty pair of Sanyo headphones I got over 10 years ago from Kmart for like $10 that finally bit the dust this week. They were cheap but loud and pretty durable. I guess Im looking for a comfortable pair that I can afford. I hate the shitty ones that come with iphones.
What you got? -

these are thin over the ear, however bulky and flexable over the head, i have 2 of them!! They retail $59.99, the other one( the rasta ones) i got on ebay for $32.50 w shipping( check ebay deals out first!!)

depending on how strong your hatred for the apple ear buds is, I would recommend trying $20-30 type ear buds. So much more comfortable and durable.

JVC HA-RX500, $20
Bought these last year when they were 40 bucks. Over the ear, very comfortable for long sessions. Can't beat the price and I pay attention to detail in music, these are awesome.
The bottom line on these are above avg. quality/ below avg. price = nice.

if you are looking for something a bit more pricey, Look for the mid-range Audio-Technica Headphones on amazon. They got a couple in the $40-$80 range that are great. -
The ones that come with the iPhones tilt me to no end. It's like saying "Hey, thanks for spending an insane amount of money on a cell phone, but just to make you feel like you got a little more value out of your purchase, we're going to throw in the biggest piece of shit turd loving headphones ever made in the history of man. Not only that, but we'll make sure that the fucking cord that comes with it is only 4 inches long, that way you will never be able to use it for anything whatsoever. Please enjoy this completely useless piece of innovation, while we laugh at your fucking ass if you ever actually try to use them."

jvcs are good and inexpensive for over-the-ear headphones

I have Sennheiser collapsible ones that are wonderful, but about $100. These get great reviews by Amazon customers:

Hard to beat the price. -
Skull candy imo. Pretty easy to find a pair of relatively inexpensive ones that are light and comfortable. I've got a pair back home in Canada that I think are perfect. Unfortunately they're back in Canada so I can't give you any details on them. I know you don't like earbuds but they also make a pretty decent pair of those.

I just picked up a sweet pair of these and my buddy wirks for logitech and I have tried a few of the kinds and all sound fantastic

I guess im in the minority hear but I have some skull candy ear buds and do not like them at all. They fit weird in my ears and cause like a suction feeling that makes them pop when I put them in all the way and then pull them out. They also have no bass in them, good sound quality I guess but just completely lacks bass. I will say that I like the standard white ipod earbuds over the skull candy ones. Maybe their over the ear/dj headphones are good but I have never tried em....
