  1. I'm going to Vegas for a week and don't want to stay on the strip the whole time and the helicoptor tour sounds like fun. Anyone here ever been on one and/or have any reviews on whether or not it's worth it? Any feeback appreciated, thanks guys.
  2. When I went out there with my wife we took like a 3 hour one. It went over the Hoover Dam and into the Grand Canyon. I had never been on a helicopter before so I figured what better place. Def worth it.
  3. I use to fly airplane tours of the ditch. over 1000 tours and it was never boring.

    I highly recommend it.

Helicopter is the way to go.

I really don't remember. It was in '01. It was prob a couple hundred bucks each.
  6. Did this with the wife and daughters about 5 years ago. They sent a van to the hotel and drove us to a small airport in LV. Flew in a twin engine turbo prop plane to a small landing strip next to canyon. We got in the copter and flew to the bottom of the canyon and landed. Got out, kids touched the Colorado River, we had a snack, then flew back up, got in plane and flew back. I think it was about $250 each. Me and 3 daughters loved it, but wife did not like the helicopter because the pilot tilted it as we went over the edge (so we could all see better).
  7. You can rent a car and drive to the West Rim as well. It's about 40 miles north of Kingman Arizona on the Indian Reservation, (walk out on the lucite walkway that reaches out over the canyon). It's an all day trip and they charge a few bucks to see the canyon but it's like no place you've ever been before...guaranteed.

BTW, Indinans dont need no stinking railings!!!
  8. I always tell people to get a car and drive to the Hoover Dam. It is really neat and a pretty drive as well.
  9. we did one of these several years ago - def worth it (though it's also worth the drive if you've never been) - no idea what it cost, the in-laws paid for it
