    Ok, so I went to Hellboy II last night. I thought the first one was pretty decent, def. one of the better comic book movies but not great. So I had pretty minimal expectations going into it.

    2 hours later and I'm TOTALLY blown away. What a sweet eff'n movie. Good story, great acting, it had a lot of awesome fights and action sequences, and a couple of hilarious scenes as well.

    Seriously one of the best movies of the year imo. If you haven't seen this yet, gogogo. You will not be disappointed.

    And for those who have seen it, what you think?

    i saw it opening night and walked away impressed. I recommend it so far it is 1 of the best of 2008 SO FAR. Acting was good and there were some funny parts i wasnt expecting.

    I really liked the first one more. I think they put too much into the sequel. The German guy made of air or whatever kinda got on my nerves. I was happy with the movie but a little let down.

    Went opening day. Hadn't seen the first one (it's DVRing on FX right now). I was impressed and thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait to see the first one later.

    I'm surprised by the responses in this thread, I've always thought it looked retarded from the previews...perhaps I'll reevaluate

    i agree that i enjoyed the movie. del toro is obviously able to produce visually stunning films. the only thing that kind of irked me was that a few of his fantastical characters seemed similar to the characters in pans labrynth. it didnt really take away from the film just something that crossed my mind as i was watching it. would def rec seeing if you just want a fun entertaining movie

    me 2, but been watching #1 on FX and its pretty decent, much better than I woulda expected
