  1. so, i wouldnt usually bother ot, but i could use some ideas.

thursday i ordered theatre tickets from ticketmaster to the lion king cuz my girl wanted to go really bad. everything went fine, they confirmed the order, notified my e-mail and charged my epassporte card for the sunday 6:30 show.

fast foreward to sunday. we go to pick up the tickets at the will call window, and they inform us that my tickets have been cancelled due to an unexceptable international credit card. now, i understand the epassporte card is a little shady, but tell me they didnt fuck this up. the lady at the window called the TM hotline, where they said that my card was refunded, which is at this moment still hasnt, they said they informed my e-mail, which they didnt, not even a spam, and they said they have been calling me nonstop since thursday, i recieved one call at 3:00 sunday after we already left obviously.

so now were standing at the ticket window, looking like fools who cant see the show, and my girl is sadder than she ever should be, crying in front of the theatre. what can i get from ticketmaster out of this debacle. compansation? refund? what line of action should i take, and what should i expect? similar situations? thanks ot.
  2. just rent the movie jesus i mean they are fake lions regardless
  3. Your girl was crying because she couldn't see Lion King?

    You date 9 year olds?
  4. well, i'm not exactly sure what kind of monopoly ticketmaster has, but my first step would be to ensure them that they will no longer receive my business.

my next step would be to learn from my mistake and use a more reliable way of purchasing items such as this in the future. i'm sure this was a somewhat spontaneous decision to go see lion king, but a little advanced planning will prevent this type of thing in the future.

  5. I downloaded a movie, via torrent, last night and it was one of those damn DOM player avi's. How much should I expect in compensation? We don't sue enough in this country. I wasted several hours of CPU time getting this movie and it turns out to be fake! What kind of compensation should I seek?
  6. SFunexceptable
  7. i dont put you at fault in any of this...

you should be complaining like a mother fucker and they should be apologizing/compensating like mother fuckers
  8. so thats pretty shitty i suggest getting to a higher level of managment and suggesting some credit towards your acct due to the costs u had to incurr ie. parking, dinner,an alternative form of entertainment. And a apology for sure thats no way to handle business if they didnt like e pass they shouldnt have taken it to begin with

BTW try and go back cause man that show is awesome i seen it in Toronto a couple yrs back

And to Ted foresst u still being a dickbag cause of the 1 billionth hand get over that shit already

  10. I think that you have the right to demand a full refund, free tickets to an equal value show, and compensation for your travel and time. Your card is acceptable, and for them to say it's not is shady.
  11. Well, I think part of the problem is that you can't really threaten to never use them again. I think they have a pretty solid monopoly, but if my girl was crying outside the theater (which, I can think of a few instances where this could have happened if something went wrong), I'd be infuriated.

First thing, today, you should be on the phone with ticketmaster. Start moving up the chain. I'd demand compensation. What I'd want, I don't really know, but keep moving up the chain until you are offered something, and then take it.

Is the Lion King still playing anywhere near you? If so, get tickets for it, and make sure your girl gets to see it. It obviously meant something to her.

In the future, you may need a second credit card for these sorts of purchases.
  12. thanks, thats the line i was looking for, dinner, parking etc. i didnt think about. i understand it was spare of the moment, but they didnt even give me a chance to use another form of payment, not to mention their blatant lying.

luckily i tip well and they set up folding chairs in the balcony for us, so we didnt miss it. it was the last show in town. but i still want my money, and compensation.

  13. File a BBB complaint, it's free and you can do it online. Still call them and every person you talk to ask to talk to their manager, but a BBB complaint can get some results.
  14. thanks for all the compassionate responses, i've been moved up the ladder by everyone i've talked to and have recieved nothing except accusations that this is my fault for not being at home 3 hours before the show. thanks for the bbb suggestion, it appears this is my only chance to have anything resolved. the fact that i still dont have the money, and the way they are dealing with this is simply rediculous.

oh, and ted ur an idiot. whatever my baby wants, my baby gets.
