    I'm a huge horse racing degen... I preface this pick by saying that I am down lifetime in horse racing and usually swing and miss on my big bets.

    With that being said my favorite ever (Afleet Alex) son is running in the $150,000 Best Pal G2 stake race at Del Mar tonight.

    5/2 Morning Line, no clue what it will be at post time, hopefully not bet too far down, if so I apologize.

    The bet....

    8th @ Del Mar
    $50 win/$50 place on number 6 (Sway Away).

    Video of Afleet Alex in preakness in 05... my favorite race ever... passes horses like they are standing still, nearly falls then recoups for the win.

    yeah dont like the short field aspect of it.

    Anyone in OT know anything about claiming horses/training them... I'm real interested in starting into this a few years from now after I build some money up

    I would look into a Racing team. Where you buy shares and get to profit and follow the horses in the stable. That would be the easiest way to get in.

    Check out Little Redfeather racing for an example.
