    not too many details you're providing there... but I haven't talked to them on the phone. But I straight-cancelled a reservation through them a couple of hours ago, and when I did the same thing once before, the refund was back on my debit card within 2 business days, no problems.

    their price match guarantee is bullshit i see price lower on their site sent them an email and they say rate wasn't available even though i can clearly see it on their site.....customer support is all outsourced and first time called got transferred to something about life insurance WTFFFFF

    I booked a room through them, and found a slightly cheaper price on another site. I didnt bother trying to get the difference refunded, but no way I would get THAT mad if they wouldnt do so.

    What kinda of life insurance deals do they offer? I currently only have insurance for my son, so I might be interested.

    hotels.com is a piece of shit.

    a few years ago I was traveling europe. I booked a hotel that was listed in a town in Zurich, Switzerland. Come to find out, the hotel was somehow in France. I realized this when I got the confirmation email and I actually looked at the address, so I cancelled within 15 minutes of making the booking. I got a little confirmation number on screen, which I didn't record, because who does that etc. A month later I never got my refund, called them up, and they basically said FU because you don't have a confirmation number, and they never saw the request. F them.

    They screwed up a reservation of mine once and it was a pain in the ass to straighten out. Never used them again.
