How do you convert a phone number for international dialing?

    Say I'm in the UK and someone wants to call me from America, my number is 078******** (11 digits) and the international dialing code for UK is +44, does the number become 044078********, 04478******** or something else?

    The caller in America would dial 011-44-(city code)-(number). 078 is probably the city code.

    EDIT: I haven't called over there in a long time, and it looks like the method has changed:
