Believe it or not, we are now 1/4 of the way through the regular season. We have actual, empirical data upon which we can base our opinions. How do you feel about your bold pre-season pick? Have injuries derailed your contender? Was that FA acquisition not all it was cracked up to be? You're probably not alone.

NFC:
I picked Green Bay to represent the NFC again this year. They finished last year playing great football, have one of the best QB's in the league, and got Finley back. I loved this pick then and I love it now.
Honorable mention: N.O.
AFC:
I had SD in this slot. I've always considered them to be chokers but this year I thought they might turn the tide. As a Colts fan, I could see Bob finally staying healthy and leading what would be a brutal, hard hitting defense. Looks like I won't have to worry about that now.
Which means I am changing my pick to Baltimore. I really like everything they are doing this year and love their shot at home field after a bye.
Honorable mention: Houston.
So come on homers, haters, OT experts, fans, and DK, let's hear yours. -
I took Baltimore and Philly
Still feeling good about them both. -
Do you think a loss this week would end Philly's chances?
-
Yes, I had Ne vs Philly rematch.Obv Green bay vs Ravens right now.
-
gb over ravens...feelin good
-
Lions v Chargers still looking nice and homerific
-
i had 49ers over Buffalo
still looking good -
After the 1st 4 games, I like my GB pick more now than I did then. I liked the Jets in the AFC, but fuck the Ravens look tough.
Packers repeat obv. -
I have Baltimore vs GB with Baltimore winning
I feel good about it. -
no. the only guaranteed loss that might happen for the rest of the season is NE. Philly can make playoffs at 11-5 as a WC or even win the division. i dont expect the giants to keep up this nonsense and the skins will be crumbling soon. Romo and the Cowboys and the Eagles will be the playoff teams from that division.
NFC playoff teams:
Packers
Lions
Eagles
Cowboys or Bucs
Saints
49ers
AFC Playoff teams:
Pats
Ravens
Chargers
Texans
Titans
Buffalo or Oakland -
I picked ATL-NE... But probably would have gone with Philly or Green Bay from the NFC if I didn't pick ATL every year.
I thought New England would be better on defense and ATL would be better on offense at the time, I'm pretty convinced I was wrong but feel like things could still click for both teams.
Right now I'd go Green Bay and New England.
I don't think there's a clear favorite in the AFC, and I don't think anyone in the NFL is as complete as Green Bay right now.
A-Rodg may be considered an all-time great in 5 years if he/Green Bay can keep up this level of play for 3 of the next 4/5 years. -
Saints over Patriots in the Super Bowl
still like my pick -
Wasn't there a thread where we all declared who we thought would be in the Super Bowl before the season started?
-
Green Bay gonna ship it again
-
Mother fucking 49ers son.
Weeeeeeeee. -
I was thinking Ravens/Eagles.... half of that still looks good, but the anarchist in me wants to see Bills/Lions :D
-
i had pack over pats.
not that bad. -
Ill be the first to admit that the eagles looked liek shit the first 1/4 of the season, but lets not forget in the three games they lost they were leading in the 4th Q in all of them. If they don't have those meltdowns they could easily be 4-0. Keeping Vick healthy is the key and gettin more reps with this defense as a unit so that they can start playin better is huge. I mean no one in the NFC E is that good, so to say the Eagles have a 0% shot to make the SB is pretty ridic, right now Id put it at like a 7.5% chance.

0% chance 0.0000%
Your packers are looking tough tho. -
yea sean, but thats what bad teams do. find a way to lose. sooooooooooo
i think i said gb/ pats with gb winning. ill change a lil bit
NFC:
gb (superbowl winner) nfc north champs
lions WC
saints nfc south champs
skins nfc east champs ( im sick, i even dont believe this but they have looked the best)
9ers nfc west champs
bucs WC
AFC:
pats afc east champs
raves afc north champs (superbowl)
jets WC (dont think the bills can keep up)
texans afc south champs
RAIDERS afc south champs
steelers WC -
yes I agree, Im just saying he said theres 0% chance and I find that hard to believe,
whatever its one mans opinion, vs a homers opinion that wants to hang onto a little bit of hope. -
Idk about the Steelers. they are in trouble if you ask me. So are the Jets for that matter.
-
i wouldnt say 0, but they better win 3/4 here in the next quarter.
i think the jets will right the ship, if they dont theres gonna be a shitstorm about ryan. which would be hilarious. 2 title games in a row with a sub par qb is pretty damn good. same to be said for the steelers, i think theyll right the ship...unless obv the D is just too old and cant keep up anymore.
i think im pretty close, would only think 2-3 will be changed come week 8 -
patriots. i feel pretty good.
