How do you load a dishwasher?

    Do you put the business end of the silverware up or down in the baskets?

    I put the business end up but my roommates put it down. i hate that when i'm unloading the dishwasher and i don't know what i'm grabbing.

    Side note:
    obviously sharp knives go down, one of my roommates doesn't get this and i almost cut my hand off

    i always did up til i read directions on one i was putting in, and it said down so i switched
    dam kids always put cups on bottom, so tilting

    Down. You grab the handles in bunches, sort them out as you put them in their respective trays . . . ez game.

    Oh, and any knives beyond bread 'n' butter knives get hand washed and dried right away. Take care of the cutters, and you do not have to buy more than one set. EVER.

    i admit...i am the worst dishwasher loader...i admire those peeps who stack everything so neat and orderly...mine looks like some kind of tornado hit it...but it all gets clean!!

    Down obv so they are closer to the water sprayer thingy and so u dont touch the part you put in your mouth
