    Forgive me if this is a repost, or tl;dw but I thought this video was cool.

    A biology professor makes a computer simulation that takes various components of a wristwatch, and imposes upon them the process of "Natural Selection" until a working timepiece evolves.

    This video attempts to debunk the Intelligent Design 'watchmaker' argument, in a compelling way. I liked it.

    TL;DW but I assume it is Dawkins. FTR Intelligent design is not a valid philosophical argument, so it is pretty easy to debunk. That said, plenty of people have a hard time conceptualizing how evolution works, so video's like these are often really helpful in swaying "watchmakers".

    is this a joke? I've never heard anyone say that if you smashed a watch and put it in a box and shook it and it doesn't magically put itself back together then natural selection is wrong and ID is right. then the goof "proves" how that idiotic idea is wrong by making some bullshit slideshow or whatever?

    maybe I should make a vid disproving the claim that water is made of fire.

    unless I'm missing something this is eeven worse than that idiot who thought his prisoner's dilemna box proved we should do a bunch of shit about global warming

    Sweet video. I made a similar (much simpler) program to simulate evolution with building an image from primitive drawing commands. Maybe I will post a vid of it.
