How much would you need to be offered ( per year) to move yourself/ fam to another country. For this example lets say if you are from the US you cannot move to Canada, You can pick anywhere else but once you leave you cannot enter the US again?
-
Can I come back to the new countries after the USA is dissolved in 10 years?
-
It really depends on the country I'm moving to. If it's some cool cheap place like the Phillipines, etc etc, then I would say 150K annually.. But for a place like South Africa or Switzerland, 1 million annually

the only thing keeping me in illinois (or the US for that matter) is my family...so does this question factor in never seeing them again, or can i take them with me?
i could care less about living in the US (although i do enjoy freedoms blah blah etc), but i was paid to live somewhere else and have my family, snap call -
how heavy is she? hey-ohhhhhhhhhhhh!
never be able to come back, not even to visit? that might be a deal-breaker. alltho the playboy lifestlye near my fam in italy would be doable imo -
well not entering the US again would take a lot of cash money for me, but if I can re enter anytmie I please get me any kind of securable job and im outtaaaa here!!
not being able to enter US, prob over 500k -
If I had to move to another country and couldn't come back? $46,544
If I had to take my family with me? $2.5 million -
Having spent 6 years living abroad and considering it again, not much...
never coming back would not be awesome, so maybe a little more than that -
500k a year
-
No amount of money, this is the greatest country in the world and I would never leave her and never come back.
-
this family friend of my gf had to move over to switzerland because he wife got transferred and she gets like 400,000 a year plus all living so not a bad deal
-
someone must really dislike you...

If it really is leaving and never coming back to the US....50 million. Not saying I care that much about my family or anything, but leaving my friends, and all the sports that come with the US would really be killer. So if I were to have 50 million, I could invest a ton and make that investment 10x over and then I can buy a European football team, and once the NFL merges with the rest of the World, I can have my football live again.
Some people probably could leave for alot less absolutely, but there is just too many things I would miss if I was never allowed to come back that I would need lottery sized money to make the lack of football and friends go away -
I don't think there is a number for me.
No way i could leave and never come back again. -
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my time in Costa Rica -- but one thing I realized while I was there is how f'n awesome the US is. I don't think I would leave and never come back for any amount of money, and I honestly mean that. Being close to family/friends/ etc. is priceless... I'm sure I would probably have a different opinion if I lived somewhere in Europe or something that was a bit more developed, but thats how I stand right now.

Yeah ^^ Good luck out there. I will never leave this country. Unless they make me.
-
Ask me this question when I lived in midwest, then I would've gladly paid to move abroad.
-
Give me enough for the move and maybe a few month's living expenses and I'd leave it all....the US, my house, taking the wife and kid if necessary lol.
I'm itching to leave. -
if it is somewhere that i already want to live like germany or aussie/nz like 100k a year. otherwise like 500k a year.
-
i spent half of last year not in my home state (arizona) travelling around for poker tourneys and i would prolly do this for less amount of money then most....i mean only thing keeping here would be my family and i could just have them fly to where i live/same with friends who im close with. usa is the same as alot of other developed countries so its whatever (i def couldnt do like costa rica which nick was talking about)
-
420
-
really never thought of this...there are so many things to take into consideration that those livin in the US aren't considering...my guess is that they would "buy out" halfway through the agreement.
-
i would need an American Upper Class lifestyle, and I'd probably pick an ex-pat area anywho
