  4. Electricity for this month = $260 (will reach over 300 next month)
Oil spent thus far = $250
    Future Oil needed = $250
  5. i'm really frugal with the heat... i keep it around 62 in the day and down to 57 at night. it works out to around 150-200 a month in winter

  6. My last heating bill was $85. I keep the thermostat at 71'.

I have a couple of electric wall heaters that help keep the main areas of the house warm and that probably saves me $75 to $100 a month.
  7. All utilities paid mofo!!!
  8. 0
  9. I have a 2000 square foot house and keep it real cool at 62-65 (I just wear a sweatshirt i don't know why more people don't do this) and my bill was $89 last month.

  11. I pay $264 a month for electricity and gas heat. It's the same every month because it's a budget plan.
  12. Good news: Just bought a house in September that sits on 6 acres with lake acess.

Bad news: Poor insulation/windows and doors are not energy efficient = $800 and counting in heating oil since 11/1. Remodel will take place as soon as I sell my previous home that now sits empty. Thermostat is set at 60.

Ridiculous I know, but I practically stole the new property.
  13. 2 cords of wood = $430 (stacked)
    125 gallons of propane = $318.75

~ $750 should get me through the long Vermont winter. Not many things I love more than my wood stove, efficient as a mofo!
  14. We have a 5 month old so we have to keep it slightly warmer... 70 through the day, 66 at night. $364 last month (we're in NY)

  19. pellet stove ftmfw... 1 ton of pellets is ~$350 and lasts me all winter.
  20. In Louisiana, if you turn on the heat, you are a confirmed pussy.
