So, how much are you all paying for heat this winter season? What do you keep your temperature at?
-
Electricity for this month = $260 (will reach over 300 next month)
Oil spent thus far = $250
Future Oil needed = $250 -
My last heating bill was $85. I keep the thermostat at 71'.
I have a couple of electric wall heaters that help keep the main areas of the house warm and that probably saves me $75 to $100 a month. -
All utilities paid mofo!!!
-
I have a 2000 square foot house and keep it real cool at 62-65 (I just wear a sweatshirt i don't know why more people don't do this) and my bill was $89 last month.
-
I pay $264 a month for electricity and gas heat. It's the same every month because it's a budget plan.
-
Good news: Just bought a house in September that sits on 6 acres with lake acess.
Bad news: Poor insulation/windows and doors are not energy efficient = $800 and counting in heating oil since 11/1. Remodel will take place as soon as I sell my previous home that now sits empty. Thermostat is set at 60.
Ridiculous I know, but I practically stole the new property. -
2 cords of wood = $430 (stacked)
125 gallons of propane = $318.75
~ $750 should get me through the long Vermont winter. Not many things I love more than my wood stove, efficient as a mofo! -
Mine runs $250-$300. We keep it at around 68.
-
comed was 256 this month. fkn so cold in chicago.
-

-

In Louisiana, if you turn on the heat, you are a confirmed pussy.
-

upstairs stays at 75-78 24x7 -
I'm in a 1bedroom apartment by myself and my electric bill is around $80/month. Usually keep the thermostat around 72
-
three fiddy last month plus about four hundo for the propane fireplace for the season (including two new cylinders)
-
Havent turned on the heat yet this year. It was nice enough outside today that we actually had the sliding door and windows open.... enjoy the snow lol
-
we're on a monthly plan (all year) which works out to just under $200 canuck bucks a month for heat and hot water heater (natural gas)
-
We keep ours between 69-71 depending on how cold. Our whole elterics bill 120 or less.
-
Keep it 69 - 70 . Natural gas heat and the bill is about $140 a month. Unfortunately we are on a budget . So that's the bill in the summer also.
