  1. Does anyone plan on picking one up?

    I was holding out for the nexus one, but I am leaning towards this since it will be available next week.

    I know acp is the resident expert on the android phones..whats your thoughts?
  2. http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/19/d...edible-review/

    here is a great review...the phone is everything the Nexus One is and better. better camera and HTC Sense UI.

    a lot of people were riding the Nexus One wave because Google was supposedly going to update that phone faster then other Android phones, but after the next OS version is released (2.5 Froyo), Google will not allow anymore fragmentation, so all Android phones will be updated at the same time.
  3. I had the droid eris...I loved it but verizon sucked out here in Western Oklahoma. I ended up going to AT&T and getting the iphone. But the eris is a solid phone.
  4. in other words get this phone if you can, it is the best Android phone to date and will be the best Android phone until the HTC Evo hits Sprint and the Samsung Galaxy-s hits AT&T, but most importantly it will probably be Verizon's best phone until 2011.
  5. Thanks for the link to the review. I will be pre-ordering this bitch tonight

  6. droid = Gobots

    iphone = Transformers

    imo.
  7. I've owned both and it's more like

    iPhone = Transformers

    Android = Ironman

    both awesome movies, but Ironman is a newer concept, not as polished and doesn't have as many die hard fans (yet). Apple is scared of Google (Android OS), hence the reason they are suing HTC the biggest handset maker for Android phones. Apple is afraid of the impact the Sprint HTC Evo will have this summer, the phone is really sickening. Along with this phone HTC Incredible, the iPhone has some serious competition.
  8. I have been an iPhone user since they came out, but I have grown to loathe AT&T with a passion. My wife got an HTC HD2 when they came out, and they had a buy one get one free offer. It was only $30 a month to add a new phone, so I decided to give TMobile a shot. Hardware-wise, the HD2 is better than my iPhone. I have no clue why HTC would spend so much time hiding the underlying Windows Mobile 6.5 OS instead of just putting a real OS on it. I assumed when I decided to try the phone that I could upgrade to Windows Mobile 7 if and when it ever comes out, but it doesn't even look like that's going to be an option. I can't wait until the Evo comes out. I might just have to get back on the family plan with mom on Sprint for that pimp phone. I'm a BIG HTC fan from now on.
  9. The Evo will be king once it comes out in June. The Incredible looks pretty sweet as well. Now we know why Apple is suing HTC. Even after the new Iphone comes out, it may no longer be king of the hill.
  10. I have had Iphone's since they originally launched the 2g, and I currently have the 3gs. I am a huge Google fan and so I ordered the Nexus one when it was available for At&t 3g band. I have since sold the Nexus and just returned to my Iphone. I did however like the Music Junk app on Android.

    I dont know, you hear so much hate from people about the Iphone and all, but it works great for everything I do and the new updte is going to be so ill.

    Also, my roommate works for Verizon as a Phone tech/repair guy and said that you wold very muh so enjoy the INCREDIBLE. Something about you can clock the processor to run at 1k just like the nexus or some other kind of phone tech shit.
  11. The evo will be the first phone I purchase that will cost me more than $75
