1. HULK HOGAN JOINS TNA WRESTLING
Legendary Wrestler and Pop Culture Icon Returns To The Ring With Fast-Rising Wrestling Organization

“Hulkamania” is back! The biggest name in professional wrestling history, Hulk Hogan, is joining Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling (TNA), the fastest rising wrestling organization in the world and home to one of cable television’s highest rated shows for young men, TNA iMPACT! The announcement was made today by TNA Wrestling in conjunction with Spike TV at a press conference held in New York City.

“Hulk Hogan is one of the world’s top pop culture icons and the biggest superstar in the history of professional wrestling. We are truly excited to welcome him into the TNA family,” said Dixie Carter, President of TNA Wrestling. “Our goal is to become the world’s biggest professional wrestling company. Hulk defines professional wrestling and we look forward to partnering with him in a variety of ways as we continue to grow TNA globally.”

“I’m thrilled to be jumping back into the world of professional wrestling,” said Hogan. “My fans have been asking me to return to the business for many years on a full time basis, but the timing or the opportunity has never been right until now. TNA Wrestling is a great company with an already excellent fan base, business and broadcast partner. I firmly believe now is the time for some change at TNA as they are positioned to jump to the next level in their development and I’m here to work with Dixie to help make that a reality.”

Through Hogan’s partnership with Bischoff Hervey Entertainment Television, the deal with TNA was negotiated by longtime Hogan colleague Eric Bischoff. Additionally, BHE TV has inked a first-look deal with TNA and will be working with the organization to develop new programming extensions of the TNA brand.

“Hulk Hogan adds yet another level of star power that positions TNA iMPACT as Spike TV’s version of ‘Must-See TV’ on Thursday nights,” said Kevin Kay, president of Spike.

Hogan most recently penned an autobiography with Mark Dagostino, “My Life Outside The Ring” with St. Martin’s Press.

4. Oh wait, nurmind. ExCiTiNg!
5. "That's not wrastling!"
6. If Hogan is portrayed as a serious competitor and a threat to "win" the world title, this will go horribly. The fans won't buy it and neither will the TNA talent.

The good thing is that TNA already has something called the "Legends" championship. It would be perfect to have Hogan compete for that belt against older wrestlers with no knees like Nash and Steiner.

I have a feeling they will totally fuck this up and have a gayshit series of "grudge matches" between Hogan and Jarrett that go nowhere.
7. Wrestling geek alert...

TNA's Legends belt is being reworked into the TNA Global Championship.

Apparently, Hogan will not be wrestling and will be more of a "personality". Eric Bischoff is also coming on board, and the rumor is that they are taking over the booking.

Talk is that Flair may be coming on board as well, and that he and Hogan may do some kind of reality show together. Dear God.

8. Well Flair sure as hell better not wrestle. A few of the guys in TNA right now refused to lay down for Flair ten years ago. There's no way they'll do it now. I remember when Scott Steiner said the man had more wrinkles than this thing.
9. It's Still Real To Me Dammit

10. his most recent matches were agonizing to watch, its like his knees were made out of wood
11. RETURN?? OF?? N.W.O!!
12. They tried bringing Scott Hall back already. He looked ten months pregnant.

17. I've heard that TNA has a hard time getting more than 5,000 buys for their PPV's. I don't know how a guy who needs 30 minutes just to get out of bed is gonna help them.
18. im going to the taping of impact nov2 hogan is the man.

21. more big news coming from TNA today

"According to WrestleZone.com's own Mark Madden, TNA will be adding a second weekly show to their television schedule. When, you ask? Monday nights from 8-10PM ET. head-to-head with WWE's RAW.

While the timeframe isn't confirmed, we can report exclusively that a second show on Monday's from 8-10PM ET is in the plans."

this.

And no, they aren't more legitimate hiring an ancient guy with two bad knees who can't do shit in the ring anymore. And they'll always be considered a joke with that goofy ring they have.

Wrestling in general sucks these days.
