    NO NOT THAT KIND!

    My lease is up on my 04 Trailblazer and I am thinking about getting a Hummer H3.
    I have read alot of great reviews about it but a couple of my boys are saying that it is a "bitch ride."

    Since all of you great OTers are the most bluntly honest people I know of, I would like to hear your opinions.

    If I dont get the Hummer H3 I am prolly going to get the new Trailblazer SS.

    With leasing, your monthly payments will be lower and also you give the vehicle back after 3 or 4 years of leasing so you can get a new vehicle. I prefer this route as I have leased my last 3 honda's.

    The downside is that you have to watch your mileage when leasing. You will have to pay for going over your mileage when leasing. Also, you have to leave the vehicle as is. You really cant add anything to it other than new tires because you basically dont own the vehicle and you have to give it back after your contract is up.

    Sometimes in Iraq, or hell sometimes in Queens even an up-armored HumVee just wont cut it. Thats when you need the Gurkha by the armor-freaks at Armet Armored Vehicles, Inc. out of Toronto, ON. The squat and hedgehog-lookin 19,000 lb beast-of-an-armored-vehicle aint just built to shrug off a roadside bomb with its high strength ballistic aluminum armor, or stop a bullet from an AK-47 with its ballistic glass. No, its also pretty fast for its size with a top speed of 93 mph. Also, considering the cost is only $200,000 were kind of wondering why the US Army doesnt ditch the $300,000+ HumVee for these bad boys.

    Yeah I was planning on buying the Armet, but I didn't win 300K yesterday so its a no go....

    Seriously tho, I am going to buy (cash money) either a H3 or Trailblazer SS within the next 5 days. They are both 35k.

    This is a decision that I will live with for the next 5+ years...

    Guide me in the right direction people!!!

    04 or 05 Escalade.

    You might as well give the dealer 20% of the cost of a new car and have him kick you squaw in the nuts, at least you'll have a bruise to show for it when you drive off the lot.

    jeep grand cherokees are great vehicles

    run well run in bad weather reasonably priced last a long time if you take care of them

    Get the Blazer, H3's basically say "Thank god Hummer came out with a Tonka truck that I could afford". H2's suck to btw. Waco was right, there is only 1 Hummer.

    H3<Blazer, and it's not even close. H3 looks like fucking garbage. Also, like someone said above, why spend the extra 20% on new? Are you rich? Really no need. If you want mostly new, look for a Blazer with under 10k on the odo, save yourself the 7K for more hookers and blow, in the back of the Blazer obv.

    all hummers are overpriced, gas guzzling pieces of crap.

    yes the h3 is more practical, but it looks so girly. it almost looks a like toy truck.

    if you want an SUV, why not buy a used VW toureg (sp?)...the v8s can be had for 30k nicely equipped.

    if you buy a hummer then it's impossible for you to support our troops. So, if you don't mind our troops dying in Iraq, then go right ahead, get an H3. But, if you support or even claim to support our troops, why would you SPEND $50k to support one of the underlying reasons why they are DYING: for the US to secure access to foreign oil. If you do not see this connection you are a fool, a disgrace to America, and certainly cannot call yourself a patriot.

    Well I guess there's always someone like Bus 23 that HAS to take an every day decision and turn it into a major philosophical dichotomy.

    Go with the trailblazer. My aunt drives an H3. I think the pink and white interior is standard.
