    Big Hems here.

    I rarely post, still lurk, but thought some of you would like to know I am taping an episode of Wheel of Fortune on Feb. 24 in Culver City.

    I feel I know this game pretty well, and will def. spend the next week and a half practicing some puzzles, but does anyone have any other advice or suggestions for me?

    I'll let everyone know how it went and when it will air... I assume sometime in May.

    The puzzles are rarely the difficult part of the game. It's the damn wheel that gets you. Just keep an eye on where the bad slots are and try to measure your spin strength accordingly instead of whipping it as hard as you can every time. Pat Sajak can land it on the $5,000 space at will so there's a definite technique.

    My sister was on Wheel Of Fortune 9 years ago, it was fuking awesome, she won too! If I remember, I will ask her for any pointers.

    Here's the thing that I see people do wrong a lot on that show. Let's say the puzzle answer has a bunch of one letter in the answer, like Walla Walla Washington. And youve got like Wa__a Wa__a Wash_n_t_n. So you know it. I'm fine with either answering it, or going for it. Let's say you spin it, and get $250, if you are going to spin again, dont use the L!!!!!. Too often the person gets excited, says L, and then spins again! Gets like $900 and then says the G.

    food for thought
    - when you buy vowels, do it SLOWLY, in fact, so slowly the Vannas head will spin
    - also, buy 3 vowels at a time, just to see where your at
    - double fist pump right before you solve
    - when you make it to final round, request a computer chair....we all know why

    Just remember to relax and take a breath up there. Far too often you see people guess previously guessed letters because they get caught up in the moment. Best of luck

    You could also play it another way.

    You could plan to do something completely insane on camera. And snap upload it to youtube when it airs. Make sure the youtube acct is set-up with Adsense.

    if you make it to the final puzzle, remember not to do what everyone does and pick B, C, D and A. not saying those are bad picks, but they know most people are likely to pick those simply due to its relation to the beginning of the alphabet. every final puzzle has an odd consonant like X,Z,Y,Q,V, etc.



    and i would disagree with timthegems wheel strat. most people subconciously are trying to avoid the lose a turn and bankrupt slots, and by doing so they always hit them. just let er rip and the odds will play out. if you try to avoid slots, you are bound to hit one.
