so i just cant wake up normally
the only way to make sure ill get up on time is if something REALLLLLLY exciting is happening that day, which is sfobv not everyday.
i fear i wont be able to get a normal job if the hours start early...
soooooo
does anyone know of any meds/pills/something that can help??
the only way i get up naturally is after 9-11 hrs of sleep, and i love staying up late which is a problemm.. any help? -
I recently had a sit down discussion with my boss (owner) who was like, "look man, I cannot let you come in late anymore" because I am late EVERY FUCKING DAY. Sometimes it's five minutes, sometimes it's two hours, but it's all due to lack of discipline. I would have been fired a year ago anywhere else, but he needs me so he's kept me, but he's become so frustrated with my tardiness that he's actually started looking for someone else.
That was three weeks ago and I have only been late once since then. It's 100% discipline based, I still sleep <3 hours some nights, I just GTFU when I'm supposed to and stop hitting the snooze button. It sucks, but once you get up, you'll be straight. -
Man im 100% in your boat dude.
I have skipped nearly 85% of my classes this semester of summerschool, and I always miss work(work for my dad).
I to love to stay up. The only way i can wake up is also if I get like 10-12 hours of sleep.
Its really becoming a problem because I can try to go to bet at 11 or 12, and my body wont let me fall asleep.
Sleep is so good.. I could literally lie there and never wake up..
I could use some of the suggestions as well.. -
Force yourself to get up early one morning and see if you have trouble going to sleep that night
-
Stop being children and man the fuck up.

Do you snore loud when you sleep. You may have sleep apnea or some other sleep disorder that keeps you from getting "restful" sleep. You may ask your doctor and they can set up a sleep study for you. I was the same way for like 10 years and then I found out I had apnea. Got a CPAP machine and it changed my life. Now I can wake up feeling rested even after 4-5 hours of sleep. Look into it.
-
you are 19 dont worry about this now
-
What you've got to realize is that nobody wakes up easily. It's just a fact of life that you have to deal with. You don't need medications or "wake up aids." You just need to get stop thinking you're any different from anyone else.
The way I see it, the first five minutes suck. But once you're past that, it's smooth sailing from there, regardless if I have 3.5 hours or 8 hours sleep.
One thing that might help is to find something you do in the morning immediately after waking up. For some people, it hopping right into the shower. For others, it's making coffee and reading the newspaper. For me, I need at least 10-20 minutes in front of the TV or the Internet. I cannot get right into a shower.
But stop thinking you have some sleep disorder. It's a natural occurrence to feel really shitty when getting up in the morning. -
+1 with giga.
I hate waking up early. I would love to get 12 hours of sleep each night, but thats not gonna happen. Alarm goes off in the morning and I just get out of bed and half hour later I feel good. Get used to it. -
And if I ever heard of ANYONE quitting a job because they couldn't wake up in the morning, I would think either:
1.) they did not need the money, and were only working out of boredom (most 18-19 year old who live with parents).
2.) Have the natural makeup and determination of someone who will fail so hard at life. -
i don't think its that being awake sucks when you first wake up, its just that laying there and going back to sleep would feel sooooo good.
my advice - watch your caffeine intake in the evening/night. if you can go to sleep a little earlier you could get use to waking up a little earlier. -
what about sleeping through alarms and such?
today i missed class cuz i overslept, usually when i do that i turn off my alarm saying ill get up and then knock out
this morning i dont remember the alarm AT ALL, and when i woke up past class, the alarm was still set. i double checked and its set for the right time, not AM/PM switched... idk -
you could always make some sort of device like bruno's dildo bike, and every minute u sleep past the alarm the dildo moves towards your ass.
That should scare the shit out of you every morning into waking up. -

this should solve your alarm problem imo -
i have the same problem and thats why i play poker fulltime...late nights and as much sleep as i want
-
I had the same problem. Put the alarm on the other side of the room or near the door. that way, when it goes off, you have to actually GET OUT OF BED to hit snooze or turn it off, and instead of going back to bed, just continue to walk out of the bedroom or turn on the light and do something.

I love sleep as much as anyone. I have insomnia, and sleep < 3 hrs a night. I'm just as fucking tired as anyone when I wake up, but I don't hit the snooze button anymore. Alarm off, out of bed, walk to the desk, turn it off, continue out the door to the shower.
It's not that fuckign hard. Anyone that says that it is has no drive for anything in life. -

What is 5-Hour Energy?

5-Hour Energy is a 2-ounce liquid energy shot that provides hours of alertness and focus without the crash or jitters you may get from canned energy drinks. It contains a blend of B-vitamins, amino acids and essential nutrients. There is zero sugar, zero herbal stimulants and only four calories.

How much caffeine is in 5-Hour Energy?

Original 5-Hour Energy shots contain as much caffeine as a cup of premium coffee. An Extra Strength 5-Hour Energy shot contains as much caffeine as 12 ounces of coffee. If you are sensitive to caffeine try a Decaf 5-Hour Energy shot. It contains only as much caffeine as a half cup of decaffeinated coffee.

What are the best times to take 5-Hour Energy?

The simple answer is "when you are tired." Why take energy shots if youre wide awake? Assuming that, the answer depends on your lifestyle. Here are a few ideas:

Morning: Not a morning person? Let 5-Hour Energy help you get your act together. One 2-ounce energy shot will keep you going strong.
After Lunch: Research shows that over 70 percent of us hit the wall after lunch. Let 5-Hour Energy help you get over that wall and have an alert, productive afternoon.
Workouts: Looking for motivation to workout? Want to experience more focused workouts? Make 5-Hour Energy shots part of your healthy lifestyle.
Sports: Get in the zone and stay there longer with 5-Hour Energy.
Travel: Do you drive for a living? Travel on business frequently? 5-Hour Energy can help you overcome travel fatigue and keep you alert behind the wheel.
Weekends/Vacations: Action-packed weekends and vacations require a lot of energy. Whether you are painting the house, going on a hike or playing on the beach, a 5-Hour Energy shot can give you the extra boost you need.

What is in 5-Hour Energy?

5-Hour Energy contains a blend of B-vitamins, amino acids and essential nutrients. It contains zero sugar, zero herbal stimulants and only four calories. The amount of caffeine varies depending on the energy shot. Original 5-Hour Energy contains as much caffeine as a cup of premium coffee. Extra Strength contains as much as 12 ounces of premium coffee, while Decaf 5-Hour Energy contains only as much caffeine as a half cup of decaffeinated coffee.

How are 5-Hour Energy shots different from canned energy drinks?

5-Hour Energy is different from canned energy drinks in several ways:

Lasts Longer: When youre tired, 5-Hour Energy shots can help you feel bright, alert and focused for hours without the crash*.
Works Faster: Since its a 2-ounce energy shot and not a 16-ounce carbonated energy drink, you can slam it down in seconds. You can feel it start working in minutes.
Small and Portable: You can carry a 5-Hour Energy shot with you wherever you go. It fits neatly in your pocket, purse, desk, locker, car or truck cab. Best of all, you dont have to nurse a big 16-ounce energy drink. One quick sip and 5-Hour Energy is in your system and out of your hands.
No Refrigeration Required: Warm carbonated energy drinks dont taste so good. But 5-Hour Energy tastes fine at room temperature.

What flavors do 5-Hour Energy shots come in?

Original (red label): Berry, lemon-lime and orange.
Extra Strength (black label): Berry
Decaf (blue label): Citrus

8333% Vitamin B12? 2000% Vitamin b6?
Isnt that dangerous?

Not at all. In fact, the levels of B12 and B6 are well within safe limits. The RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) is minimum daily amounts set by the Food and Nutrition Board of the Institute of Medicine. This board also sets upper limits of consumption. According to the Linus Pauling Institute, No toxic or adverse effects have been associated with large intakes of vitamin B12 from food or supplements in healthy people. As a result, no upper intake limit has been set. Doses as high as 1,000mcg are used to safely treat pernicious anemia. 5-Hour Energy contain 500mcg of vitamin B12. Doses of vitamin B6 higher than 200mg per day over an extended period have been shown to cause side effects. The Food and Nutrition Board set a safe upper intake level of 100mg per day. However, 5-Hour Energy contains only 40mg of vitamin B6.

Has 5-Hour Energy been approved by the FDA?

The FDA categorizes products like 5-Hour Energy shots as dietary supplements. Government rules for supplements differ from those established for foods or synthetic medicines. All dietary supplements must comply with DSHEA (Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act) regulations for labeling, manufacturing practices, and use ingredients categorized as GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe). The FDA does not test and approve dietary supplements, as they do with medicines, because their ingredients are already established as safe.

My skin is hot and itchy. What is happening to me?

You are experiencing a niacin flush. Some people are sensitive to elevated amounts of niacin (Vitamin B3). The flushing is a result of the niacin in 5-Hour Energy increasing blood flow near the skin. It will go away in a few minutes, and you may not experience a niacin flush again. To avoid a niacin flush drink half a bottle or less and save the rest for later.

How many bottles of 5-Hour Energy can I take per day?

We recommend taking no more than two bottles per day. Be sure to space them several hours apart.

Who should not take 5-Hour Energy?

[*] Women who are pregnant or nursing.[*] Children under 12 years of age.[*] People diagnosed with phenylketonuria (PKU).
Check with your doctor before taking 5-Hour Energy if

[*] You are currently taking any prescription medicines.[*] You have been advised by your physician to avoid stimulants or caffeine.[*] You have a medical condition that makes you concerned about taking it.[*] You are concerned about taking it for any reason.
Other concerns?

[*] 5-Hour Energy is gluten free.[*] 5-Hour Energy is sugar free and safe for diabetics. However, check with your doctor before taking 5-Hour Energy if you have concerns about how it may affect you.
-

use your cell phone as your primary alarm. also set an actual alarm clock on the other side of the room. it'll force u to get up.
-
5 minutes vigorous activity should set you up for the day. Fortunately, this can easily be achieved whilst still lying in bed!
