I Had My Tires Slashed

    So I was in the ghetto slummin' it the other night and I walk out to my car to find all 4 tires slashed and sitting on the rims. Apparently my car was one of 13 vehicles that this happened to (although my car was the only one with all 4 tires slashed from what the officer that just called me said)

    The vandals have been caught.... 3 kids, aged 14-16.

    Now, as much as Id like to take care of this on my own and put 3 fucking teenagers in the hospital for a week or so and teach them a very valuable life lesson... I guess I'll have to let the courts do their thing to save me future headaches.

    The officer that called me stated that hes putting in a restitution order or something along those lines to try and recoup all the losses. Im putting this through insurance, the total bill for 4 new tires, a flatbed towtruck and a new grill that got dented from either the vandals or the towtruck driver is around $1500. Going through insurance Im pretty sure Im gonna be out of pocket over $500 after my $250 deductable and depreciation value etc etc.

    My question is, what are the chances I am recouped these losses from the kids' parents? Any lawyers have any experience with this type of thing? Im thinking slim to none in me getting anything back.

    I believe you can't sue the kids parents in tort. You might want to try getting money out of them, but you can't do it through the court system.

    This isnt me suing... Its the police who have the kids on tape slashing tires, putting in the request themselves. Highly unlikey anything comes of it, and as much as I want to take another stroll in the hood to recoup on my own... Im not going to jail over $500. Had I caught the kids in the act... Then this would be a whole different thread. Kinda glad I didnt witness it.

    I had all 4 of my tires slashed on a car that had 45 miles on it...

    these fuckers came to one of our parties...got booted and slashed 5 different cars tires...

    cops come...we tell them who it was...

    the donut pushers dont do a damn thing and I end up having to pay this myself...

    I got those motherfucker back pretty good tho

    Last year a kid stole a laptop during a party at my house. Eventually I found out who did it, and had the police arrest him. He was 17, and his mom wanted to settle outside the court by paying me a small amount each month. I declined that one immediately, and when the courts got through with him they ordered a restitution compensation for the whole laptop. I think once the kids go in the court, they are forced to pay you back or else they go to jail. If they don't have money, they are forced to work it off and have their paycheck go straight to paying it off, else they go to jail.

    Once had tires slashed that turned out to be a good thing. Me and my Dad took his vette to A.C. and stayed at the TAJ. Next day we went to leave and the valet comes over and says "there was a problem...the hotel manager will be down to speak to you" Turns out 2 of the tires were slashed on the vette and 2 on the car next to us.

    They hooked us up with a suite and $200 each to gamble while they towed it to get new tires. The next day they couldn't find any tire places open so they gave us a free limo back to Philly and comps for our next trip. The next day the flatbed rolls up with the vette and 4 brand new tires.

    So next time you are in AC...sneak into the valet parking garage and slash your tires

    I didn't know Canada had ricers too. Let's put on some random stickers and this generic mesh grill so this car can reflect who I am.

    P.S. Sucks to hear about the tires though.
